Assembly Problem

Pros: the assembly is easy except for defective pieces, it is light and can easily be moved around, has a fan
Cons: defective part for assembly
"This product arrived 5 days after ordering. The assembly instructions say it requires 2 people and I am a small woman and was able to do myself. Unfortunately, when I got to the very last part of assembly, the left pedal, I was not able to finish assembly as the parts are defective. After speaking with a rep from their company, they are sending out a new pedal and crank shaft and will schedule a technician to come out and install it. However, this process will take a minimum of 2 weeks, which is ridiculous. I recommend to spend a little more money for a better quality bike, unless you have a lot more patience than I do."

Pleasant Surprise!

Pros: solid wheel section, big comfortable seat, great value, loved the fan and cup holder, easy to move from one area to another, easy to assemble, quiet and smooth
Cons: delayed in transit during delivery, made me realize how out of shape i am :(
Model Number: Healthrider® H10x/HREX11912 Upright Exercise Bike
"I was impressed by the written details of this product, but was a little worried when I ordered it due to other reviews. When my bike came, it was easy to put together (I am NOT mechanically inclined) and works great! It is pretty solid and the wheel is sturdy. Not made for a real heavy person, but fits me just fine. A great deal for the price and the only reason I rated a 4-star and not a 5-star, was that delivery was delayed due to a strike at the ports in Long Beach, Ca. Great product!"

QC had failed their job

Pros: frame appears solid and well built
Cons: parts do not fit well
Model Number: HREX11912.0
"The seat post would not slide into the frame. Had to file down the raised edges on the post where they punched the holes and distorted the post. One of the holes for the fastener on the handle bar upright was misaligned and I could only get three fasteners into the frame. Went to their web site to see what the price of the power adapter is and found none posted on their web site. I did find out though that it appears they no longer manufacture this model the H10X."

Misleading information

Pros: easy to assemble
Cons: hard to see display. pedaling hard in normal mode
Model Number: H10X
"The light blue display shown on the Costco website is not what it is. In fact, it does have have a "blue tinted LCD" at all according to HealthRider's Customer Service (which by the way took me 3 calls after being on hold twice for 15+ mins). HealthRider Customer Service advised they have "no control" over what Costco uses for their description on Costo's website. They apologized and "understood my frustration". The display is the standard dark greenish, non-illuminating, with black letters... typical to what you see with a inexpensive digital wrist watch. Bike also pedals harder than those I've rode in the gym when pedaling in normal "no-preset" mode."

Surprised costco would sell this low quality

Pros: none couldnt get it assembled
Cons: not shipped with right parts to assemble
"Purchased this for christmas gift. Opened the box to assemble, noticed the two stabilizing bars were 2 different colors (one black one gray) and sizes. Tried to attach the black bar to the bike and the holes don't line up. Same problem with other parts. Will return this to Costco. Quality control questionable."

Could not assemble properly.

Model Number: HREX11912.0
"Received this bike and really wanted to try it out. I bought it because of the big comfortable seat it has. But the first part to assemble, the rear stabilizer, could not be installed properly. The holes that were drilled were in the wrong location. The leveling feet would be to the side or facing up but not on the floor. I tried for days to reach the number on the manual but it was always busy. I returned the bike to Costco. Bummer! I finally reached their customer service number after I returned the bike. (Still deciding if to buy another one.)They did tell me that part could have been sent separately and that they have been super busy & hard to reach."

Disappointed

Pros: comfy seat, stable when assembled
Cons: inaccurate calorie and distance meters, difficult to assemble, resistance not adjusting properly
Model Number: Healthrider H10X
"This bike was tricky to assemble but stable when together. The seat is comfortable but the display is very hard to see. Also you cannot trust the distance or calorie counter displays as they seem to roll merrily on when you have stopped pedaling and the pedals aren't even moving. I got it for Christmas and thought I'd make the best of it but now my husband has used it and said the resistance doesn't adjust properly either."

Wrong Parts, Can't Get Through to Customer Service

Cons: mismatched parts, customer service phone disconnects you, why is costco even carrying this?
Model Number: HREX 11912
"Like another reviewer here, the bike was delivered with mismatched stabilizer bars (essentially the legs), one black and one gray, and the mounting holes on the black one were spaced an inch too far apart to mount.
I have tried three days now to reach customer service by phone, probably two dozen calls altogether. Each time I'm greeted with a recording asking me to wait for the next available representative, and then a few seconds later it disconnects. Are they even still in business?"

good bike for price

Pros: compact, good workout
"this is a great bike, especially for the price. my two complaints would be that first it was delayed over a week in shipping and second the base came with a crack in it. Its purely decorative so not that big of a deal, but still irritating. otherwise, bike has been great (got it as an xmas gift) and love riding it."
