Disappointed

Pros: fast shipping, reasonable price
Cons: terrible instructions, no pre-drilled screw holes, limited color choice
"This purchase started great. Super fast shipping - it was at my house two days after purchase. It was much larger than I expected. It is also much darker in person, so beware if you are trying to match furniture. It looks almost black in my indoor lighting. The box had been damaged in shipping (not Costco's fault), and one side panel has a sizeable crack/dent. I decided to assemble it anyway because that side would be against a wall. The instructions say that the only tool needed is a screwdriver. Ha! There are no holes drilled in the panels, so if you are using a screwdriver, you'll need some pretty hefty muscles to drive the screws directly into the wood. I used a drill driver, but it took me + two teenagers to hold everything steady and allow me to put enough pressure on the drill. Once assembled, I slid it into place with the damaged side hidden against the wall, only to discover another area of damage on the top, highly visible.
It is not worth my effort to disassemble, re-pack, and return, so I am going to try to find another less-visible area in my home to use this."

arrived seriously damaged

"I was excited to find the package on my doorstep after just a few days, but when I opened it, I noticed the corners had scratches. I decided it was a small thing that I could easily touch up, so I unpacked the rest. Nearly every part was damaged, and one side even had a large piece of wood chipped off. To make matters worse, there were no instructions or hardware. I realize that this is a packing/shipping problem and not necessarily a problem with the product, but there was so much styrofoam around the wood that it seems the product must have been damaged before it was even put in the box. Also, I read several reviews (on other sites) that reported the same problem. I am frustrated because I really need this, and Costco has a much better price than any comparable pet house end-table."

Great for hiding the fact that there is a crate

Pros: quality materials, easy to assemble, easy to clean
Cons: bulky, no corner supports, latch comes unscrewed
"I bought this because when we adopted a dog I didn't really want a metal crate in the house. It looks just like an end table and matches the furniture in my living room as if it was a part of the set. Our dog sleeps in here and spends part of the day while we are at work and she has plenty of room to move around and get comfortable on her Costco pet blanket. The only thing that would make this crate better is if the door could slide inside when open. The picture shows that it goes inside but you have to swing the door in, and I would have to move everything inside in order to do so. It would also be nice if there were size options, i.e. for smaller dogs. This one would fit a medium to large size dog, but our mini dashcund loves it."

Nice but...

Pros: nice looking, easy to assemble
Cons: not large as stated, door is not as versatile as stated
Model Number: IK 03624
"This is a nice crate with some problems. I don't know why "Disappointed" had a problem. I'm a smallish person and was able to put it together by myself with a regular Philips screwdriver. Remember when you buy this the dimensions are for the entire crate, including trim. The actual interior is for a medium sized dog. My dog is 50 lbs. and fits curled up but not spread out like she is used to sleeping. The door does swing both ways, but if you have any padding in the crate you have to choose one or the other because it's not a quick change."

Well made, quality piece

Pros: well made
Cons: too small for large breeds
"I was quite impressed with the quality and finish. Really could pass for regular furniture. Unfortunately for us, though it claims to house a 100 lb. dog, it was significantly shorter, narrower, and less deep than our 95 lb. Labrador was used to and he wouldn't enter. Can't blame him; he hit his head on the top, and couldn't stretch out. Avoid if your dog is 80-85 lbs. or larger."
