Customer Reviews for HP ENVY 15t Quad 1080p TouchSmart Laptop, Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ 2.4GHz
Review 1 for HP ENVY 15t Quad 1080p TouchSmart Laptop, Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ 2.4GHz
Date:October 20, 2013
Pros: light weight, great display with beautiful color after settings, good camera
Cons: bad touch screen, cheap quality production
Model Number: HP Envy i7 1080
"Even though it comes with professional spec, but when I used Photoshop and Illustrator at the same time, the laptop got frozen twice. I had to force to power off and restarted. The touch screen is a little slow and not smart or you can say too sensitive. The cover is cheap made with soft plastic that the inside sticked to the screen when I just received it. I had to return it after two months of use since the mouse point kept pointing at the same spot when I browse the web. Very disappointed."

Review 2 for HP ENVY 15t Quad 1080p TouchSmart Laptop, Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ 2.4GHz
Date:October 2, 2013
Pros: performance, touchscreen, full key pad, video
Cons: bit heavy, no ssd, windows 8, battery life
Model Number: 15t-j000
"I bought this as a replacement laptop for my IBM T43p. I was intrigued by the specs of the laptop. I like the video, touchscreen and full keyboard. The 16G of memory is more than I will ever use. The only thing that I would recommend is that the hard drive be upgraded to a SSD for maximum performance."

Review 4 for HP ENVY 15t Quad 1080p TouchSmart Laptop, Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ 2.4GHz

Buggy at best
Pros: bought it at costco so i could return it
Cons: video issues, hp proprietary software and drivers, bio-metric issues, unstable
Model Number: HP Envy 15t Quad 1080p Touchsmart Laptop, Intel Core i7-4700MQ 2.4GHz
"I have had two of these laptops and have returned them both. The first laptop took about a month to fail. The issue had to do with the on board video chipset Intel HD4600 conflicting with the Nvidia 740M video graphics card. It wasn't until I had all of my business programs installed and was finished working for the night that I tried to play Microsoft Solitaire Collection on the laptop and noticed the program would not start and kicked me back to the Start (metro) screen. I had the same experience with any graphic intensive application and even some not so intensive applications (messaging, kindle, etc...) The next issue was the bio-metric device (fingerprint reader) failed and would not allow me access to the laptop because the start screen was locked using bio-metrics. After finally logging in to the system I erased and re-installed windows using the system tools. Shortly after re-install the graphics went buggy again. I returned this laptop and ordered another thinking that it was probably just an unlucky build. The second laptop arrived and I was able to stress it into failing right away. Again the Intel HD4600 on board chip set interferes with the Nvidia 740M graphics card. I was only able to run graphicly intensive programs after disabling the HD4600 chip set in the device manager. This learning experience has taken 2 months of time and a lot of angst to get thru, I will be switching to a different manufacturer."
