Most reliable

Pros: durability, temp setting
Cons: difficult to clean
"I bought this fan over 5 years ago and have it in the window running 24-7 ever since.
The fan can be set to work on intake or exhaust, like most fans. It also has a feature to have one fan to be in the intake mode, while the other on exhaust (never really used that one).
What makes this fan different from my old stuff is its durability and the fact that you can set the temperature. This feature works in both modes (intake or exhaust). Once the temperature in the room drops to the desired set temp, it stops. This works great for nights... set the temp and it will stop the intake of the cold air once the room is cooled to the desired temp.
I am also impressed with it because of its durability. Just ordered another one. Hope it will last as long as this one.
One negative, though. I have to unscrew the fan in order to be able to clean it. However, even after submerging the entire fan under water, it still works. Needs to dry entirely before plugging it in."

Best fan ever

Pros: quiet, air flow / moves a lot of air, thermostat controlled
"I live in a 3rd story apartment. This window fan is excellent for cooling the bedroom. I didn't think the thermostat would be useful but I was wrong. The fan shuts off when it gets too cold at night."

Love this fan!

Pros: still working after 5 years no problems, has a remote, the openings are small so no little fingers
Cons: difficult to clean because of the small openings
"We live near the ocean so we got this to circulate the air better through our bedroom...5 years later it's still going. This past summer we kept it on day and night. It blows air in/out or both and the power is just fine, it's not an a/c and maybe that's what people that didn't like it needed. It's quiet and still working as it did on day 1"

It's just OK

Pros: programable
Cons: doesn't blow very hard
"I don't feel this fan blows very hard. The only nice thing about this fan is you can program the temp for it to shut off. Besides the fan blowing in or out, you can have it do both at the same time. 1 fan is an in-take and the other is a out-take. If the fan blew harder i'd given it a 5 star. The high speed is like low speed."

Very Happy and Cooler!

Pros: quiet, remote
Model Number: 836758
"I've had the Bionaire Twin Window Fan for a few weeks now and think it's wonderful. It's especially nice in an area that heats up during the day and cools off in the evening. When I get home from work, the thermostat has been reading 92 - 94 degrees inside (top floor of an old, uninsulated building), even though the air outside is pleasant. The very first thing I do is turn on the fan - one side taking in the cool air, the other expelling the hot. Soon I'm able to switch both sides to bring in cool air. It has made a huge difference in comfort this summer. The remote works perfectly and lets me adjust or turn off the fan after I've gone to bed. It's also quiet, and very easy to install and remove if you need to lock windows when you're not home."

works great

Pros: remote, forward & reverse, moves good volume of air for size, not too loud
Cons: no on/off button on remote
"Moves a decent amount of air, especially at high speed. Not too loud. Handy remote. Easy to install. Seems well built.
Pressing the power button on the remote cycles through the 3 speeds and OFF so if the fan is on low you have to press the power button 3 times to turn the power OFF. Not a big deal but a little annoying."

Bionaire Twin Window Fan

Pros: thermostat, secure in window, duel directional fans
"Gave this as a gift to a family member in NYC. They love it. No matter how hot it gets they still feel comfortable. They love how it turns itself off keeping the room comfortable when nights get cool.
Fits window perfect"

Best purchase this summer!

Pros: it is really quiet and blows lots of air
Model Number: Bionaire Twin Window Fan
"I love this fan. It works, it is quiet and worth every penny I paid for it. It came in 2 days and I started using it immediately with great results. I can leave it on all night and will not disturb our sleep. If it wasn't sold out, I would get a couple more without hesitation. Actually, I order mine late at the end of the day, and the following day when I tried to order another, it was sold out. I will get another 2 for next season."

Just in Time

"Received these in time to cool my apartment down during our heat wave. It's amazing how much air they can move! When I first installed them, I put them on exhaust and opened my shady front door to bring in cool air and vent the hot air. I left it on that until it cooled down at night and then had it blow cool air in all night long. I love these fans!"

Cooler already!

Pros: quiet, cools effectively
Cons: none
"I was looking for a window fan for those days when it's really not hot enough to run the AC, and this is working out great. It's extremely quiet, I can't even hear it running except maybe on top speed. It was simple to put in the window, and is lightweight enough that to remove it when i want to put on the AC is no problem - just lift it out and put it back. Having the AC running all the time can leave the air in the apartment rather stale, so putting the fan on air exchange really helps freshen the house. And the remote is a very nice touch. Quick delivery by Costco made this a great purchase!"

quiet enough for bedroom use

Pros: intake exhaust or combo on air direction, easy to install or move
Model Number: Bionaire Twin Window Fan
"Even on high speed this is quiet enough to not disturb sleep. I also like that it turns off when the room tempurature reaches a set number so I do not wake up cold and have to turn it off."

The Most Quiet Fan I've Ever Heard

Pros: quiet, remote control, compact, powerful for it's size
Cons: none
Model Number: BWF091AR
"I purchased this fan for my garage apartment so that multiple, noisy, space occupying fans could be replaced. It is incredibly quiet, especially given it's compact size. The thermostat is accurate and the remote control a real luxury. If you need a powerful, yet compact fan, this remote controlled window fan is for you."

Quiet, moves a lot of air. Did I say quiet.

Pros: quiet, no need to remove screen., moves a lot of air, remote control, five year warranty, cord in center on bottom
Cons: none
Model Number: BWF0910AR-WCU
"Had to replace my Honeywell HW-628 that I bought almost 5 years ago to the date, one side started to work intermittently. Used it appx June thru August each year. That's only 15 maybe 18 months of continuous use. Decided to give this one a try, remote is a plus. This is a little more powerful and a lt quieter than old Honeywell or the new one HW305. Hopefully it'll last longer. Fits in window without removing the sceen, not sure what that other reviewer was talking about. Will fit as little as 24" width opening."

Solution to New England Summer

Pros: light-weight, portable, versatile, programmable
Cons: isn't included in the rent.
Model Number: BWF0910AR-WCU
"New England Summer lasts @ 3 weeks. The need for A/C is limited. The Bionaire Twin Window Fan brings in the cool morning air when programmed to "IN" and will pull away clouds of dust when doing housework during the "OUT" mode.
My West facing apartment gets 5-6 hours of direct sun a day. Great for my tomatoes, bad if it gets over 90°. The duality and versatility gives an amazing range of options. The design fits most windows. The materiials are light weight. In case of extreme wheather entire fan lifts out easily.

Good Exhaust, Not a replacement for AC, Fan,Cooler

"Good Exhaust and Inhale. Pumps in the air inside when in "In" Mode. Pumps out the air inside the room when in "Out" Mode. There is also "Exchange" mode, where one fan inhales and the other one exhales. But cannot prove if it really exchanges or just cirulates the same air all the time."

Extemely Effective - High Quality

Pros: does not rust, motor is durable, circulates air very effectively
Model Number: Bionaire Twin Window Fan with Remote Control
"I have had one of these fans running full time for several years. I live in the Caribbean and our weather is hard on products - especially for rusting electronic products. My original fan is still running well. I have purchased another one for another window."
