Defective on Arrival

"The fan would be perfect IF the high speed worked!!
Out of the box, high would shut off the unit.
In the process of exchanging the product for a non defective one."

Poor Bionaire Customer Service

"I contacted Bionaire to order an additional extension panel to fit my window. Not only did they not have it, the fan was not in stock and the extension was not expected to be available. I believe the Bionaire representative was not well-informed, but without the extension panel the fan was of no use to me. I did find the exhaust function to be not as powerful as desired."

Great Idea, Mediocre Execution

"I had a room that needed a fan but I did not want to install a ceiling fan. I purchased this unit based on the fact it had a remote, dual fan action, and ability to control speed and direction of air flow. I was pleased with the reviews from Costco but I had read reviews on other sites that were not as favorable--regarding the temperature control not functioning properly.
I purchased anyways hoping for the best. Costco offered fast delivery (no complaints).
Easy to install and get going. And I was able to place it near a patio window that got considerable shade. On my unit, the temperature gauge never functioned properly. I found the unit to be loud and not something I would have been able to use in a bedroom. The unit did an excellent job of pushing air through but my biggest complaint is that it did not do a good job cooling and rarely did it meet its optimal temperature.
Some web searches will reveal one can fix the temperature gauge in a few steps, but I did not think it was worth the hassle. Maybe Bionaire can make an upgrade unit to this version that is more quiet and has a more accurate temperature control."
