Works well even with my 40" HDTV

Pros: handles 40" tv; least expensive; great value
"I purchased the Sony KDL40SL130 HDTV from CostCo. Even though it's a 40" TV, I got this wall mount because the specs state it can handle TV's up to 80 lbs. The Sony TV is 46 lbs without the stand.
During installation of the mount, I ensured that I was securely mounting the bracket into the wall studs. After attaching the TV to the wall mount, I did need to make small adjustments to ensure that the TV was plumb and level. At first, it would adjust out of plumb slightly when I moved it, but I tightened the adjustment nut even tighter (still by hand) and haven't had an issue since.
This mount works as well or better than I expected. It is the cheapest mount that can be extended, and as such, represents an excellent value. I can't attest to how well it would perform with an 80 lb TV, but I would imagine that most modern TVs are well below that weight (in or near the size range recommended by the mount).
If your TV is up to 42" and a reasonable weight, you should be able to use this mount without any problems. If your TV is larger than that and you need an articulating mount, get the heavier-duty scissors-style mount instead."

Works for me

Pros: many view angles, fine adjustments stay put, strong and well made
"I have a 37" Vizio LCD flat panel TV mounted on one of these. It works great. It can swing way out (or not) and point almost any direction. The tilt works fine and stays where I set it. Living in earthquake country, I like that the TV can't fall over, off the dresser, etc with this mount!"

Be careful

Pros: price
Cons: not strong enough for a 37" tv
"This may be good for less than a 37", but if you max out its capacity at a full 37" tv, it's too much for this mount. The bar is not strong enough to hold the tv horizontal and the tilting mechanism is not strong enough to hold screen where it does not tilt downward. It is making me too nervous and will upgrade the mount to something more substantial."

Very good swivel mount

Pros: articulates, swivels, heavy duty
Cons: pricey
"I have a 37" LCD and mount is very adequate. Check your set weight if you are concerned about support ability. Might want to tighten the knobs for horizontal swivel if your set won't hold position ;-)"

Works great for computer monitors

"I'm using this for a 28" computer monitor and it works great. Swings back against the wall to allow more work space and then pulls out for optimal viewing."

Poor design

Cons: cannot hold stated load, should use hex bolts for adjustments
Model Number: Peerless 21" to 32"
"Originally, I mounted a 15 inch PC display and it worked fine. While trying to adjust the angle, I striped the socket head screw. They must have tighted the screw with 150 Ft Lbs. No adjusting now.
It claims it can handle a 32 inch TV. I upgraded my PC display to an Acer P241W a 24 inch LCD. Now the display shakes when it is moved. It cannot hold this 24 inch display. It sags.
You must mount the display over level to compensate for the sag. It is difficult to do this."

Great Mount Bracket

"I own 2 of these and I'm buying another one. I have a 40" Sony, and a 42" Vizio mounted on them and I'm mounting a 32" Vizio to the one I'm buying. Like any product if it is installed correct you will not have a problem with it. I would recommend this bracket to everyone."
