Says its wndr-3100 doesn't specify v2
Pros: works great for windows
Cons: broadcom 4323 chipset is unsupported in linux
Model Number: wndr-3100v2
"Since v2 Netgear went with a Broadcom 4323 chip which is unsupported by Linux. Broadcom has always had issues with the open source community. Ndiswrapper will work with a 32 bit system and possibly a 64 bit. However, buying a new piece of hardware only to use a workaround to get it working seems silly. Sorry Costco, its coming back."

Easy setup, runs fast
Pros: easy to install, runs fast, has a flashing blue activity light
Cons: none so far
Model Number: WNDA3100
"The adapter came with detailed installation instructions, the install was flawless, and it runs fast.
Mine tested out as high as 22mbps through my cable modem and Cisco wireless router.
One nice detail is that it comes with a 3 ft cable to give some flexibility in placing the product. It also comes with a small cradle and 2-sided tape so one can place it permanently if desired."

not for me
"I am sure if you are using this for a SIMPLE application it would be fine. I have two computers and a nice big brothers lazer all in one and I had to return this today. IF you are running two computers do yourself a favor and purchase the belkin high performance wireless dual-band router. that will do the trick. since I was unable to use this I honestly can not fairly rate it."

WRONG ADAPTER RECOMMENDED
Pros: nice to look at
Cons: won't work with sony
"We bought a 46" Sony (46EX621) from Costco which was "internet Ready", adapter available through Costco's internet ordering system. This adapter connected fine on my PC, but would not "talk" to the Sony TV. After 2-3 weeks I gave up trying and got a 50' RJ45 cable and hard wired the Sony to my router. After talking to Sony, I learned that they have only used their own adapter for this set so I gave this one back. I'm sure it works fine in OTHER applications"

Steaming problems
"I bought a new plasma tv with wireless WiFi. In order to access a LAN network you need a wireless adapter. I purchased the Netgear adaptor which was recommended by Costco. The adaptor or possiblilty the TV did not perform that well. The streaming of movies kept buffering every few minutes and eventually timed out. I overcame the problem by going to direct hookup to my LAN."

Doesn't Play Well With Others Sometimes
Pros: high performance, dual band, ability to limit which band it uses.
Cons: large size, doesn't work on some systems without "massaging".
Model Number: WNDA3100 (N600)
"This is a great wireless USB adapter if it works on your computer. The problem is that sometimes it doesn't work.
Sometimes, after you've installed the software, the computer won't recognize this USB wireless adapter AT ALL. It fails to find drivers for it and therefore won't use it. I traced this problem to a conflict between the USB wireless adapter and the on-board wireless in the computer. In order to get this adapter to work you need to disable the on-board wireless networking.
To do this, go to [Start]->[Control Panel]->[Device Manager]. Once the Device Manager is running, find the tap labeled "Network adapters" and open it. Find the line corresponding to the wireless adapter on your computer and RIGHT-CLICK on it and then LEFT-Click on "Disable". This will disable the on-board wireless networking. You should then be able to use this Netgear Wireless networking adapter without any problems.
Once connected, the Netgear wireless USB adapter performs great. I especially like the fact that I can limit it to only use the 5GHz band, leaving the 2.4GHz band to my older and slower devices."

Works Good Right Out The Box
Pros: works great
Cons: none that i can see so far
"I purchased this from Costco as part of my wireless for the DISH NETWORK Sling adapter. Dish actually sells this for a bit cheaper, but I am a loyal COSTCO customer. I simply plugged it in to my DISH receiver and followed the instructions involving the SLING adapter and within minutes (with a little help from Tech Support) I was able to watch TV on my tablet and cell phone."
