Down to One Remote - Yippee!!!

Pros: i love having one remote that can do everything., easy enough for a child to use
Cons: it takes a little time to get used to how it works
"I bought this remote for my husband last year for Christmas. I frankly didn't see the need, but now that we have it, I love it. It takes a little getting used to, but once you program all of your electronics into it, you can so good bye to your other remotes. My 6-year-old son can turn on the TV with it and find a show on the DVR. Then, push the button for watching a DVD, and the remote switches the TV to the right video input, turns on the amp, and can even open the DVD movie tray... all on one button. We liked it so much, we got another one for our basement TV system. I highly recommend this product."

Best Universal Remote I have ever owned

Pros: rechargable battery with good life, backlit, macros for turning on multiple devices w/ 1 button
Cons: needs to be connected to a compute for setup, setup is not for a computer novice
"This is by far the best universal remote I have ever owned. It makes using multiple items a breeze. It has macros so everything turns on/off in the correct order.
This a great remote if you use a surround sound system and have to switch inputs to watch DVD's, VHS, TV, etc. Just push a button on what you want and it is done."

Awesome Remote

Pros: style, ease of use, display
Cons: initial set up can be confusing
"I have had this remote for about two years now and so the buttons, well one, the most heavily used one, are starting to get a little loose. So I simply reordered the LCD screen so that the most heavily used functions are now assigned to different buttons. That is one reason why this thing is so freaking awesome, it's just that easy. Now if you are not technically proficient I would not recommend this to you unless there's someone that can do the set up for you because the set up can be a little confusing. When this is set up properly though you can't beat the ease of use, one button turns on my TV, switches it to the proper input, turns on my Xbox360, turns on my surround sound receiver and switches it to the proper input and I'm ready for some gaming. Then another SINGLE push of a button turns off the Xbox and switches the TV and Receiver inputs to watch Cable. I highly recommend this product and have done so since I bought it. We bought one for my brother in law and he was more than happy to get rid of his 7 other remotes."

Good concept, but poor execution / product quality

Pros: concept, led screen, battery life
Cons: buttons, software/setup, value - not worth it
"The concept of consolidating remotes makes a lot of sense and Logitech is a leader. However, this particular model has some serious shortcomings with their buttons. The buttons are "hard" (not soft) to touch making it uncomfortable. Several of the frequently used buttons (fast forward for example) stopped working after 12-14 months of use. Costco stores stopped carrying the 720 and have a newer model now - I'm surprised the still have it online."

Excellent purchase

Pros: excellent looks, extremely easy pc setup, well places controls/buttons
Cons: pricey
"Purchased this 4 months back and I have been extremely happy with the product. I was able to replace 5 remotes and can still replace a few more in the house, but just did not do it.
One problem I found was that if you control the device with another remote or directly using the buttons on the device, it throws off this Remote. e.g. If you switch off the TV directly using the button on the TV, this remote will still think that the TV is ON and the next time you turn it on, it will run the switch off command. But overall it is an excellent buy
