American Power Battery Back-up System 350VA APW BK350
Battery-protected and surge-only outlets reserves power capacity and run time for connected equipment that require battery back-up. Phoneline surge protection provides protection of connected equipment on the phone lines. Power conditioning protects connected loads from surges, spikes, lightning, and other disturbances. Audible alarms delivers notification of changing utility power and UPS conditions. Automatic restart of loads after UPS shutdown upon the return of utility power for exceptional convenience. Automatic battery self-test ensures early detection of a battery that needs to be replaced. Failed 1 Month Past Warranty
Pros: good price until it died.
Cons: died one month after warranty ran out -, short life-cycle.

"I had a similar APC product purchased through the warehouse; Model RS1500. It failed one month after the warranty ended and when it did, it cut power in the middle of my work-day causing major Windows problems. I had to do a full Windows and all applications reload. APC/Schneider electric was of little help."

Good Product, possible better pricing available
Pros: good company. good system

"I purchased this from Costco online, it arrived promptly, was VERY Easy to set up.
I later realized by returning my old APS (battery dead) UPS to American Power, they would exchange it for an even more powerful, new
unit for the same price as I paid from Costco.

Good Value
Pros: price
"This is a great little, inexpensive UPS. I use it as a stop gap waiting for my generator to turn on. Nothing fance or powerful, but for the price, it does exactly what I need it to do. Do not expect it to power your PC for hours, but for the 10 seconds it takes to kick on my generator, my cable modem, router and PC keep on going."

"I am a senior, retired, female home user and not that technical. I have the basics - a decent desktop with a nice printer. I was replacing an APC 350 that I have had for many years and could have replaced the battery, but decided to replace with this new sleek model of the same capacity. My previous 350 seemed fine to handle what I have in the way of computer accessories, I ordered it one morning and Costco had it to my house by the next afternoon! Wow! Was packed extremely well, and instructions were clear. I did call tech support at APC as I was slightly unclear on slipping the plastic covered red wire into the plastic receptacle (turned out to be simple, really). The knowledgeable tech then walked me through the whole set-up by phone, but it wouldn't have been necessary because the printed instructions are very clear. The unit was up and running in just a few minutes. It came with a PowerChute CD which he explained to me. Makes sense, so will load that software today. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend APC brand."
