Rails are a must!

Pros: sturdy and great for space management
Cons: not consistent with cabinet assessories
"The rails are terrific and a must to fully maximize your filing drawer space. I was disappointed that only half of the HON filing cabinets that I ordered from Costco did not come with these rails. When I called HON to find out why some of the cabinets came with rail and some did not, they did not have an answer. Now I have 4 filing cabinets that need these rails. Each filing cabinet takes 3 sets of rails, times that by 4 filing cabinets and the math is significant! Make sure you know what you are (and are not) getting!"

Works very well

Pros: turns files so can read them straight on
"When doing a 3' lateral cabinet, we use 1 of these per drawer, plus 1 of the single rails. This gives 2 letter-sized spots & 1 legal-sized. When doing a 4' lateral cabinet, we use 2 of these per drawer & it gives the 3 letter-sized spots. They are excellent quality. We use a little putty under them if the drawer isn't full of iles to keep them in place, but this isn't necessary."
