"We had high hopes when we ordered this file cabinet counting on the very positve reviews. It arrived broken on two corners with the bottom drawer detached from the slide on one side. It must have been dropped in transit at some point. While trying to get the drawer back in we discovered that several small screws had fallen inside the support tracks, jamming them and impeding the drawer from closing. We also noted how poorly this file cabinet is constructed; poor quality, low density fiberboard which had broken out in several places around the hardware holding the sides and bottom together. We wonder how long it would have lasted with both drawers fully filled. So perhaps in the long run we were fortunate that we had to return it."

Great Buy - A Solid Piece of Furniture
Pros: looks great; built to last a lifetime, fast delivery--ordered tues delivered fri
Cons: no info on where parts were located, assembly instructions could be more clear
"I researched and studied my options for quite some time before deciding on this file cabinet; very glad I chose it. Am very pleased with its overall appearance (matches my other office furniture) and it's very sturdy construction. My only negative comment is the lack of assembly instructions available to you when you open the packing carton. There was one sheet of paper laying on the top of it -- it warned you to check to be sure all parts were included and gave a customer service number to call should you have a problem. How are you supposed to know what parts are missing if you have nothing available to you stating what parts should have been included. Long story short: Just know that the parts and keys are taped to the bottom of the cabinet. How helpful it would have been to have the location of these items stated on the piece of paper that was lying on top of the cabinet, completely visible when I opened it up.
There is very little assembly required and what is required was very easy to do."

Great Value
"The 2-drawer file cabinet was everything promised. It is nicely finished and comes basically full assembled ( you have to add the screw-on leveling feet and the handles are mounted on the inside of the drawers so you have to reposition these, otherwise it is fully assembled). Hardware is provided that allows for you to use the lateral drawers in a letter format where the files face the front of the cabinet -- nice touch. I had done a lot of searching and this product was an outstanding value."
