Very disappointed

"We've had this set for about 3 years. It gets fairly light use, maybe 1-2 times a week in the warmer months of Northern VA. Imagine my complete dismay when about a month ago I noticed that one of the chair legs was broken and just laying on the ground. The chair hasn't been used/moved for at least 2 months.
Upon closer inspection of all chair legs, we realized that they are not fully cast aluminum, but the bottom end is attached/welded? There is a pinch on each leg, right above the curved part that touches the ground, so it is just a matter of time before they all break. It is clear to anyone who looks at the leg that this is a weak point of the chair.
I contacted Costco right away and got a call from the manufacturer, who wanted to see pictures. I emailed them pictures and was told that I will get a replacement chair. After some back and forth, the replacement chair arrived a month later. Unfortunately, it has the same pinch/weld on the legs, so probably it is matter of time before it fails as well.
I am extremely upset at the poor quality, I was looking forward to using this set for years, now I am afraid to sit on it...If there was any way to return it after 3 years, I would."

Heed this warning from a long-time owner

"Keep in mind that many online reviews are written by people who have only had the product a short time. We have had this set for several years.
For the first several years, I would have given this product five stars. But then, out of the blue, the legs (just above the decorative scroll part) started to break off, just by moving the chairs on the patio. Thankfully, it was not when someone was sitting in them, it was when my daughter moved one of the chairs. She pointed this out to my husband, who was able to break the leg off a different chair with one hand, with no effort at all.
Upon closer review, every joint on every chair and also the table is weakened.
We called Costco, who arranged for the manufacturer to contact us directly. They acted like they didn't know about this problem (#1 sign of BAD customer service). #2 sign of BAD customer service is that they were only willing to send out two chairs, in spite of the welds being visibly weakened on ALL chairs and the table.
When I pointed out that this is ridiculous, the company wanted me to send photos. I told them this is too much trouble for a product that they know is defective. I can't be bothered with more disappointment down the road when (probably not an IF) the replacement set breaks.
Furthermore, although the set is beautiful and comfortable, ours was very lightly used. It was never moved, or mistreated in any way.
The manufacturer told me on the phone that they only warrant the product for five years, and ours didn't make it to the five year mark. If you don't mind shelling out around $400 per year for short-lived patio furniture, this might be the set for you. I would rather spend a lot less and have something that doesn't literally fall apart in a few years.
This was an anniversary gift and it is disappointing that we are returning it to Costco (on our dime). We will either have to rent a truck to do so or perhaps make three trips in my SUV.
I need to make sure I am clear on the exact manufacturer's name (I think it was APF or ABF) so that I am sure to never accidentally buy one of their products again.
I am going to follow up with Costco customer service, as I cannot believe for a minute that this manufacturer lives up to Costco's high standards."

Solid Seating for Outdoor Enjoyment

"This is a high quality set that comes with chairs assembled, but needs a small amount of work with the table. My teenage son was able to help out with unpacking and set up. The cushions are wonderful, but oversized so storage when not in use has been a bit tricky."

Excellent Choice
"I dont like to order on line without seeing the product first, I took a risk and order this set. I was not disappointed. This set is excellent, very well made, nice thick cushions , and not much to assemble and its stunning in my backyard. It's worth every penny..............I am one happy customer.

Excellent Set

"I purchased this set 3 years ago for lower patio near pool.....it has been great and we have received many compliments at the quality and beati of the set. The Sunbrella cushions are very comfortable and Costco has matching umbrella every season. We also bought the matching high top (bar) table with 4 chairs and matching cushions/umbrella (costco does not carry this any longer) but it is wonderful for chatting at other side of pool. The table and chairs are heavy weight and have NEVER moved even with very high winds."

Once Again Costco doesn't disappoint
"Great set and value for the money. We looked around for quite awhile and was skeptical to buy a set over the internet but as always, Costco didn't disappoint us. The set is very sturdy & has great cushions. Love that the cushions velcro to the chairs as we live in a very windy area so I don't have to worry about the cushions flying away,
Not sure I would use the firepit but we love the tray for ice to keep beverages cold. The whole set makes for a cozy corner on our deck."

Great looking set
"We just received our set yesterday and put it all together. The chairs are solid and require no assembly. The table is pretty simple to put together. The set looks great and it does have a stand to store the grill set accessories as well as an umbrella hole. It fits nicely on our 14 foot round paver patio and looks great with a fountain backdrop. The cushions are soft, but not too soft. One nice thing is that space wise it can easily fit another 4 folding chairs if you have a party or something. The ring around the center is wide enough to easily hold dinner plates, glasses, etc. The feet on the chairs and table have plastic ends that are adjustable so that you don't have to deal with wiggle in uneven surfaces. Probably a huge plus with flagstone patios."

Been a great set for several years
Pros: versatile
"Purchased this set several years ago and it has stayed in the elements in North Texas' extreme heat and cold over that period of time. (although chairs moved to covered patio during inclement weather) Have had no issues with any part of this versatile set. It's beautiful, has retained its color, the cushions are still in great shape. The fire pit is thick and fits snugly. I couldn't be happier."

- there is an umbrella hole
- cushion color is actually "Sesame Linen", a yellow-tinged khaki, not the terracotta shown in the photo above. Costco.com will send you a photo of the color.
Added a round 11-ft diam umbrella and have really enjoyed this set after having it 1 week. Recommend."

Not the Best Quality
"The metal table top was warped and didn't notice until assembled. The quality was quite a bit lower than what I expected. Be warned, do a thorough check of all parts before assembling anything. Who would think that a metal table top would be warped - not even sure how that happens."

The Set Is AMAZING!

"Most times I would never use my patio furniture in the winter, but my husband lit up the firepit the other night and we enjoyed a crisp cool night on the patio for the first time in months. It was beautiful and cozy around the table as we entertained guests. Awesome functionality in this set with the ability to switch out the center pieces from beverage server up to being a grill or all the way down to be a flat table top. Simply awesome."

"My wife wanted to purchase a upscale entertaining table and chairs for our pool area. She visited the Costco website, and found exactly what she was looking for. This product is extremely easy to assemble, and was delivered (as usual for Costco) ahead of the initial expected delivery date. The various options (FIre bowl, BBQ, Ice Bucket) make this patio set an outstanding value for your patio. Costco's continued commitment to providing quality merchandise, at a great price makes this purchase an easy decision."

Love the set!

"I purchased this set at the end of last winter and love it. The chairs are very comfortable even without the cushions. The fire put is a huge hit. We toasted marshmallows from Spring through Fall and can't wait until Spring to use it again. The quality is very high (as expected from Costco), however, one chair arrived damaged and Costco replaced it without any problem. Surprisingly, another chair did break in the Fall for reasons unknown, but I am hopeful that Costco will live up to their reputation and replace it. I would definately recommend this set. The whole family enjoys it!"
