Better than they used to be
"I fell in love with the old medium ballpoint Bic Velocity pens -- not the gel, and not their horible replacements, the Atlantis. But they disappeared from the shelves a few years ago, and I had been looking for a replacement ever since. They still aren't on the shelves, but I found the new ones -- they are trademarked 2010 on the box -- here on Costco.com. What joy!
I still have some of the old ones to compare them too.
** The grip is nicer on the new version -- it's triangular shaped, where the old one was just round.
** Barrel and clicker are nicer. The barrel is lighter, and the clicker and clip look more streamlined
** I've only used a few from the new box, but I did have some clogging issues, where I don't recall any from the old version. However, after I used them for a week or so, there were no clogs. While I don't *recall* any clogs with the old version, that doesn't mean they didn't happen.

Overall, I am very happy to have these. They are weighted well and stay in the hand nicely without strain. Still far and away better than anything else Bic produced to replace these (Gel and Atlantis, I am looking at you).
The best value in ballpoint pens, hands down."
