Clumpy
"Unless you like thick clumpy mascara I would highly recommend staying away from this one! I have to wipe off the brush before I use it each time."

Really Good
Pros: quality, quantity, price
Cons: could be a little darker
"I've tried more mascaras than I care to relate. Several things made this one stand out for me: its color payoff, its lenghtening ability, and its "stayability". Add to that, the packaging feels good in hand and gives a nice, overall polished effect. Won't give that spider-eyed, club girl look if that's what you want."

Just Okay, Not Great
Pros: great price, make lash dark in each coating
Cons: clumps
"I agree with the other reviews, its very clumpy for sure. If you put this mascara on n let dry for few seconds apply another layer it will be clumpy. Now I take the new Loreal mascara volume 12x, I did the same but Not clumpy from loreal. Its just okay for me, great price, but I will not be buying it again. P.S. All the maybelline mascara flakes...so here I go continue more search for great mascara with good prices."

Disappointing
"On the plus side, I really liked the fact that this washes off with soap and water (I hate using makeup remover). But I found that it was difficult to apply without clumping and my second tube exploded about six weeks into use."

Flattering & non-flaking (& no exploding!)
Pros: lashes look thicker & longer, doesn't flake or irritate my eyes, nice applicator brush

"Overall I'm very happy with this mascara and definitely plan to buy it again. I have thin, short lashes and sensitive eyes. I've tried a number of brands and until now, my favorite has been Lancome. This mascara is flattering to my eyes and makes my lashes look thicker and longer. It's slightly clumpy, but I've been able to use the brush to spread out occasional small clumps. Because I need a thickening and lengthening mascara, I've never had one that doesn't clump at least a little. This one doesn't flake, irritate my eyes, or rub off during the day leaving dark circles. I was surprised to read other reviewers had exploding mascaras! I've certainly never experienced it, although I'll watch for it now. Another thing that I like is that this mascara doesn't dry out in the tube. I don't use mascara every day, and I've had some that dry out faster than I can use them. All in all, I'm quite satisfied. I think it's a great value for the money. If it never clumped, I'd have given it 5 stars."

Not good.
"You could not even see this product on my lashes. Even after 3 layers it was invisible. I took them right back to the store. I wish they would carry Diorshow mascara."

What a mess
Pros: you get two
Cons: you can only use one of the two
"Within a week after purchase, the first tube exploded in my makeup case. The second tube did not explode, but oozed out of the top of the tube every time I removed the wand. Not a very good deal. I would recommend a drug store brand for the same price as this product."

Faulty Product
"I loved this mascara at first, but after about two weeks, the mascara stated exploding out of the top and glopped so thickly around the brush that I can't use it. I thought it was a fluke- now it's happening to the second tube. THUMBS DOWN- wasted my money. I wrote borghese, and they did not think it was important enough to respond."

I think it's great!
Pros: my lashes look great!
Cons: only black available
"I have fine lashes and I've had plenty of bad experiences with other mascaras, both department and drug store quality.
I've been using the Borghese brand for over a year now, and I'm on my 4th tube. I don't intend to switch brands anytime soon! I only wish they'd sell Brown/Black or just Brown instead of only Black."

"I don't know why the excitement about Kirkland Borghese make up. I have tried a few products and haven't been impressed. This is the latest and the worst. Very clumpy and it flakes off in my eyes. I was going to return it but unfortunately had thrown out the packaging."

exploding mascara
"This is my second try with this product. The first tube is fine and when I open the second one all the mascara just explodes out. The product has not been exposed to anything but my bathroom (temp. wise). I returned the item the first time it happened with no problem, but I would like to send this tube to Seattle. This is the second time that this has happened. Has anyone had this experience?"

Thick, a little clumpy
Pros: volume!
Cons: brush leaves lashes a little clumpy
"I like this a lot. as a good thickening mascara. I like it better than Lancome mascaras, which don't give me the volume I'm looking for. This leaves my lashes thicker, but a little clumpy. They should switch to a more evenly spaced bristle brush. I have to separate them with a lash brush after application, but I like them thick so it works. I have medium length, medium volume natural lashes and this works for me."

Nice Brand - Great Price
Pros: quality brand, 1/3 the price of department store
"I have liked Borghese eyeshadow since the early 80s but hadn't tried their mascara.
I've been trying to save money and have been looking for quality products for less money and this mascara qualifies on both levels. I normally use Lancome mascara (I've tried several products at all price levels.)
I have skinny little eyelashes, so I usually have trouble just getting them to show up and one coat has never been enough. With this product, one coat looks pretty darn good. It does tend to get a little goopy after a couple of months, but I just a few drops of sterilized saline water. Can't beat it for the price and performance."

Mixed review, but overall a good product.
Pros: product not consistent in quality., nice applicator brush
"Out of a two tube pack the first tube was a little dry and clumpy so I went back to using my old mascara for a while. I decided to give the second tube a try and so far, after 2 weeks, I haven't had any clumping issues. It does make your lashes look longer, and I like the applicator brush that makes it easy to apply addditional coats without it looking too heavy. I've never had the flaking problem that the other reviewers wrote about. For the price, it's a great deal!"

Flakes Off
Pros: inexpensive, non allergenic
Cons: flakes, gets clumpy
"I have very sensitive skin and am not allergic to this product. However, it flakes off and doesn't last. Most of it ends up under my eyes. As you use it, it becomes “clumpy.”"

Love it!!
"I have tried over 6 other brands of mascara in the last 2 months in all price ranges and was very unsatisfied. I finally am thrilled to have tried this one and absolutely love it. I have short eyelashes and not many and this makes them thicker and significantly longer. Love it , it's worth it."

"I totally love this mascara! The first week that I used it I had 2 people comment on how long my lashes were.
I think this replaced another mascara they had carried at Costco (in a silver tube???) and I did not like that one nearly as much."
