Polyethylene Glycol 3350
MiraLAX® provides gentle, predictable constipation relief. It's clinically proven to relieve constipation and soften stool with no harsh side effects. MiraLAX® works naturally with your body - it gently draws water back to your colon, allowing you to have a normal, complete bowel movement with no sudden urgency. Dissolves in any beverage.
Use:
Relieves occasional constipation (irregularity).
Generally produces a bowel movement in 1 to 3 days.
Directions:
Do not take more than directed unless advised by your doctor. The bottle top is a measuring cap marked to contain 17 grams of powder when filled to the indicated line (white section in cap).
Adults and children 17 years of age and older:
Fill to top of white section in cap which is marked to indicate the correct dose (17g).
Stir and dissolve in any 4 to 8 ounces of beverage (cold, hot or room temperature) then drink.
Use once a day.
Use no more than 7 days.
Children 16 years of age or under:
Ask a doctor.
Active Ingredient (in each dose) - Purpose:
Polyethylene Glycol 3350, 17 g (cap filled to line) - Laxative.
Other Ingredients: None
Warnings:
Allergy Alert: Do not use if you are allergic to polyethylene glycol.
Do not use if you have kidney disease, except under the advice and supervision of a doctor.
Ask a doctor before use if you have: Nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain. A sudden change in bowel habits that lasts over 2 weeks. Irritable bowel syndrome.
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking a prescription drug.
When using this product you may have loose, watery, more frequent stools.
Stop use and ask a doctor if: You have rectal bleeding, nausea, bloating, cramping, or abdominal pain which gets worse; these may be signs of a serious condition. You get diarrhea. You need to use a laxative for longer than 1 week.
If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.
Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

GREAT PRODUCT
"I HAVE BEEN TO 2 SURGE0NS THINKING I NEEDED SURGERY AND AFTER 3 DAYS AND TRIPLING THE DOSE (ON MY NEW DR.'S OK) I AM NO LONGER MISERABLE. I CANT BELIEVE I ALMOST HAD AN OPERATION AND THIS STUFF DID THE TRICK. I HAVE CHRONIC PAIN AND TAKE PRESCRIPTION PAIN MEDS WHICH CAUSE CHRONIC CONSTIPATION. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!"

didn't work as expected
"didn't work in 1 to 3 days as noted on package- took 7 days as noted on package notes- since then seems every time i go to the powder room some comes out but not a lot."

Great Product - WORKS!
Pros: gentle, works, no taste
"I read all the great reviews for this product and made my decision to buy it based on that. This product works - no harsh chemicals - to make you cramp or bloat. Very gentle but effective! I've been on this for a couple of weeks - and it has made a tremendous change for me! I highly recommend for anyone who has the 'problem' and needs help! I've been adding to cranberry juice with some aloe vera juice added - can't tell MiraLax is in there - and that is great - totally dissolves and doesn't get thick like some other brands!! Highly recommend - I'm sold on this stuff!"

Good Results

Safe and effective
"Miralax was prescribed to me by two different gastroenterologists years ago when it was a prescription drug. It took me a week or two to get used to it, but when I did it solved my problem. I have rather severe IBS with both constipation and occasional diarrhea. The second doctor told me to take it forever; that there is no downside to long term use. It has no taste; the only problem I have is getting out the proper measurement in either Miralax or the Costco product. By the way, the Costco product is the same single ingredient but is almost twice the amount as Miralax for a few dollars less."

Just What I Needed

This really is a miracle laxative!
Pros: works quickly, easy to measure, no change of texture, flavorless, no intestinal cramping, no bloating
Cons: bottle size is inconvenient for traveling
"Mira (miracle) Lax (laxative). Well they certainly named it right. After 5 years of dealing with severe constipation and using up to 9 Ducolax a day I only achieved moderate results. Then my doctor told me about Miralax. I was very skeptical that it wouldn't change the flavor or texture but boy was I wrong. I put it in my morning coffee and there is no change in taste/texture that I can discern.
I can't believe I suffered for years before I was told about this amazing product. With Costco's great return policy why wouldn't you give it a try? You can always return it if it doesn't work for you."

Can live again!
"I tried everything to cure my chronic constipation i.e. diet, increase in fiber, exercise, bulk laxatives and nothing worked until i found miralax. It makes me not dread going to the bathroom every day. I can focus on other things for a change."

MIRALAX - Your answer to constipation!
Pros: absolute best, best buy at costco
"I was referred to UCSF due to severe constipation and dependency on processed elimination. After many tests, I was told to take Miralax on cap full AM and PM. No cramping, no dependency, no bloating and no diarrhea effects! I called the 800 number of Miralax to talk with someone about dependency as 3 months prior to it going over the counter, I had to get Miralax via a prescription. After OTC the words were added not to take more than 7 days, due to the United States F.D.A. It rang numerous times before a man answered and I began my series of questions. He eventually asked me how did I reach him of which I told him I only dialed the 800 number. Turns out he was the V.P. and partner inventor. He assured me there was nothing in it to cause dependency and I have been on it for 2.5 years and doing well. Couldn't recommend a better product!!

the best relief ever
Pros: it is easy to take., this stuff really works.
"Five years ago I had a stroke. I went from having regular bowel habits to having no bowel habits, i.e. I had no sensation or feeling of pressure. I suffered mightily for more than a year. Then a friend was talking about her discovery of Miralax, which was a prescription medication at the time. It solved my very uncomfortable and severe constipation. I recommend it highly to anyone who mentions problems with constipation. Recently, I was in an ER with a sick child and heard, from the next curtained enclosure, someone complaining about severe constipation. The doctor responded with the usual line about fiber and water and exercise. I wanted to tear open the curtains and share the good news: that he didn't have to suffer anymore! I restrained myself but was quite conflicted about it afterwards!"

Very Gentle

"My daughter has been using Miralax every day since she was 6 months old. It doesn't cause her any pain/bloating/etc. even at a young age. It dissolves easily in any liquid and is as gentle as water. It works wonderfully."
