Good rack - directions off

Pros: value, sturdy, space saver
Cons: hardware
"Great sturdy rack - but needed to connect the brackets first and then attach to base. Screws didn't line up otherwise."

Excellent Customer Service

"I rec'd the 2-pack bike stands, it took less than 5 minutes to set up the 1st stand but the other one had a problem, one of the wheel support would not go into the tubular leg so i called the customer service and they sent the wheel support via UPS right away and Linda @ customer service emailed me to confirm that it was arriving that day, well, this piece didn't work either so i wrote back, this time Linda sent the wheel support along w/ the tubular leg and they made sure to test out the parts before sending them to me. Even though it took some time for me to get this done, I was happy to know that this company is very responsive and stand behind their product so yes I would buy their product again and of course the bike stands are exactly as described!"

SERVICE POOR

Pros: sturdy
Cons: poor service attitude and response, slides on floor when taking the bike out or return
Model Number: PBS-2R
"I READ THE REVIEWS AND I HAD TWO PROBLEMS PUTTING THE STAND TOGETHER AND ONE PROBLEM I HAD WAS BECAUSE I DID NOT READ THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT STATED LEAVE ALL PARTS LOOSE AND DO NOT TIGHTEN UNTIL COMPLETE. THE OTHER ISSUE WAS ONE BRACE WAS STRIPED WHEN USING THE LONG BOLTS - I ORDERED THE RPLACEMENTS AND THAT TOOK TWO WEEKS ONLY TO GET THE WRONG SACK OF PARTS TO INSTALL THE BRACE - I ORDERED THE PARTS AGAIN AND WAS TREATED POORLY BY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS - IN ADDITION THE CAP ENDS DO NOT HELP TO HOLD THE RACK IN PLACE SO THE STAND SLIDES WHEN PULLING THE BIKES OUT OR RETURNING THE BIKES TO THE RACK"

GOOD BIKE RACK

"The bike rack is sturdy & fits 2 bikes very well. The trouble is it took a lot of flat surface. Works if you are not handy to install other type of bike racks. Work well for us to hold the bikes in their position instead of leaning against each other and the wall.."

Exactly What I Was Looking For

Pros: quick way to organize the garage, easy for kids to use
Cons: rubber ends don't prevent the rack from sliding
"I needed something my kids could keep their bikes in and roll them in and out alone. These were hard to put together, until I called the phone # included and talked to Bridget. Just don't follow the directions: screw the parts together and then connect them to the base. I wish they didn't slide on the garage floor, but they fit all of our bikes, and I'm very happy with them."

Not what I wanted

"This did not really work for me as it is two bike stands in two boxes. This is a lot of work to assemble just to store 4 bikes, and I did not have the garage space to use them in this manner.
If it works for you, there's nothing at all wrong with the product, but I returned it.

Good racks, good deal

"Bought this for a variety of bikes I have to store in the garage. Showed up in a convenient 2 pack, so 4 bikes worth of storage.
Assembly was about 15 minutes of casual work per unit. One unit had silver screws, the other black. No idea why. Read the directions and make sure you don't snug everything down until you have it on a flat surface so you make sure it's stable.
Now, as for various reviews talking about which bikes fit and don't, I have to admit to being a bit puzzled. Maybe it's a function of specific bike models, but this rack holds:
* 29 inch mtb, front or back, without hitting the derauiller
*26 inch mtb, touching rear derauiller when back but nothing impacting, front works fine.
*700c road bike, also fine.
*12 inch kids bike: Ok, this one barely works, but it still holds it up in the rear wheel.
So, it works well for a huge range of wheels for me, so I wouldn't sweat it."

Great Product

Pros: built well
"Great Product, you receive two stands each one holds two bikes, they are small, simple little racks that don't make you feel like there is an elephant in the garage."

OK for Bikes without Disc Brakes

Model Number: 430275
"Even if you follow the assembly instructions to the letter and leave all the hardware "loose", all the pieces do not line up well. Assembly is challenging. Assembled product works well IF you don't have disc brakes. At least I imagine it works well if you have rim brakes or coaster brakes that don't interfere with the stand. If the rails were only slightly more narrow, it would work for a lot more bikes and miss the disc brakes.
All that said, I am still keeping it because I have not found anything better.

Works great once assembled

Pros: sturdy
Cons: quality control makes assembly challenging
"Sturdy and stable, this is a very useful bike rack with some versatility (you can change how the bikes are oriented with respect to one another, if desired). I assembled the first with little trouble, although you must pay attention to which side the holes on the uprights are on before you get too far. The second rack, however, was a royal pain. Supposedly identical, the holes were not well aligned and it took about 25 minutes instead of 8 to put together. Overall, a good value."

Does the job

Pros: sturdy, fair price, well made, works for most mtbs w/ 26" wheels or smaller, easy to assemble
Cons: does not hold 29er mtb wheels, does not hold 700 roadie wheels
Model Number: Racor PBS-2R
"I had been searching for an economical bike stand to hold our family bicycles for a while. Most I found in cycle shops were either expensive or not well made. Last year I was frustrated in not finding anything to my satisfaction, so I built a bike stand from wood. Although it was made to my specifications and worked well, it was heavy and bulky. I finally saw this stand on Costco.com. I felt the price was reasonable and could return it if I did not like it when it arrived. To my surprise, it is well made, easy to assemble, easy to move around and not expensive. It holds mountain bikes with 26" wheels well, although if placing the back tire in the rack, the gears hit the rack. If placing two bikes in forward together, the handlebars may interfear with each other. Also, 29er bikes or road bikes with 700 wheels will not fit. The best use of this rack is with MTBs with 26" wheels and facing in opposite directions. I may sound critcal of this rack, but I do like it for the price paid."

exactly as expected

Pros: stable, easy to assemble, inexpensive
"The 2 stands came quickly after being ordered. They were relatively easy to assemble. Easier with 2 people, but I'm not great at assembling anything. Second one was much easier after putting the first one together. After tightening all the bolts and screws, the stands are very stable and our 2 new road bikes fit side by side with only the handlebars barely touching. (You could put one in forward and the other backward but the front wheel of the backward bike might turn to one side or the other) All in all they keep the bikes upright , allow us to fill the tires with air and are quick to take out to ride as we do daily. We use the second stand for our old road bikes and it has helped to keep our garage much neater.
Instuctions are easy to follow and should take about 20 minutes to assemble both stands.

I like this bike stand

Pros: steady and look very good
Model Number: Item# 242565
"It is a good product, each stand holds nicely two bikes, perfect for the space in our garage. Assembly was a little frustrating as the screws did not go smoothly into, but once it worked - everything fit perfect. The stand looks very good and the price is atractive too. We are happy with the purchase and would recommend our good friends to buy it as well."

Great Bike Stand, Although ...

Pros: sturdy
"This bike stand does everything it says and does it well. All the parts were present and the bikes feel very secure when in the rack. I'm glad I purchased the stands.
Take note though - Putting a bike into the stand backwards, rear wheel, doesn't work as the stand hits the derailer and chain sprockets. (My bikes are 26" multigear touring. Pretty typical.)
Although, if you purchase the stands here are a few nitpicks/suggestions from my experience.
1. Check the threaded parts for burrs before assembling by screwing in the screws a few turns. A few of the captive nuts had burrs that made starting the screws difficult.
2. The screw heads go into the recessed side of the tubing. (It's not obvious if it says so in the instructions.)
3. The two U-shaped tubes are not identical. Verify the recessed screw holes and center bar hole are all in the correct positions before assembly. (It's not obvious if it says so in the instructions.)
4. The provided Allen wrench is adequate, but not the 1/2" wrench. You'll need a good box wrench to securely tighten the bolts.
For me, this was a good choice."
