Best heater yet

Pros: well built, good looking, nice heat level control
Cons: needs to be hard wired to a 240v 20/30 amp circuit
Model Number: Delta Heat 3500-Watt, Infrared Radiant Heater W/ Regulator
"I have been using outdoor heaters for 17 years on my deck and patio, ( I'M 55 Y.O.) I have used a number of propane and natural gas uints, I have used smaller 1500 watt electric heaters. This delta heater (3500 watt) with the heat control is the best soultion I have found. I cannot speak to the durability (usefull life) of the unit or bulb. Time will tell. This is a purfect product for costco to sell. They should sell the full line from Delta, GREAT PRODUCT!"

Hit & Miss

Pros: comes with a regulator, price is great.
Cons: warms about 1/2 the area it claims
Model Number: 3500W
"They were easy for the electrician to install and they look nice. However, they do not warm up as much area as advertised. I have 4 outside pointed inwards towards a 15'X15' patio area, and at 50 deg F it's barely warm enough on full blast. I have two more, on a three-sided enclosed 8'X8" porch area. It's warm enough on full blast down to 45 deg F, but I thought I was going way overboard. A double bulb unit from Infratech may have been better for my outdoor patio."

RipOff

Pros: tek support was good
Cons: doesn't produce any measureable heat as per instru
Model Number: Delta Heat 3500-Watt, Infrared Radiant Heater
"This heater doesn't work AT ALL. We followed the instructions to the letter. We even called the company and I had them speak to my electrician, and they said it was correctly mounted and electrically proper BUT, the heat was non existent. I am SURE it would work OUTSIDE, but not outside at all. I live in San Diego and it is NOT even that cold and it barely does ANYTHING at all! USELESS!"

Warm and nice

Model Number: 304 Stainless Steel
"We just got our heater installed and it really warms up our patio. Granted, we live in So. California and it doesn't snow here, but it does get breezy by the beach and cool, but when those heaters are on, it keeps us very warm.
However, a bit of warning - the 3500 watt heater pulls a lot of electricity, and we had to run new wires from our circut box per heater (we have two heaters - drawing from two separate sources, both on their separate switch). We can use both, or one, with a flick of a switch.
Our backyard just got even better!~"

Great in Richmond, VA

"We couldn't be happier with this purchase. We bought two and had them professionally installed in our screen porch. The heat is perfect. The ability to control the amount of heat comes in handy for those nights that are cool, not cold. Best if used above your seating area. It will comfortably cover an 8x8 area in temperatures down to 20 degrees."
