Cannot believe it

Pros: granite not as pictures more greenish
Cons: the top drawer is very hard to open., use two of the handles to pull it, unfriendly customer service
Model Number: 338610
"Purchase the Malibu 42 in September of 2012.
The cut out drawer that accommodates for plumbing was broken when we unpacked.
I contacted the manufacturer on 11/15 and they said that a replacement drawer will be shipped. I called on 12/4 to check status and was told it takes 90 days to ship the drawer.

Good value stylish quality vanity

Pros: looks great- dark wood and neutral granite
Cons: heavy to haul up 2 flights of stairs
Model Number: 338595
"Very impressed with look of vanity and quality upon arrival. Shipped quickly.
Dark wood looks very rich and top with sinks and granite also very nice. Door and drawer pulls look great, too. Drawers and doors seem to "stick" a little but hopefully will work better after regular use. Wish it came with extra granite strip for side splash (or option to purchase. The only issue we found was that upon sealing the granite (based on other reviewers comments) before installation is that the manufacturer has filled a 1/2" x 1/2" space in the granite with a composite material that doesn't match the granite. It was difficult to spot upon initial inspection of the item but unfortunately, this is in a visible place on the countertop. We are not returning as the contractor will be completing installation in next 3 days plus hauling the vanity up 2 flights of stairs was a chore requiring 4 strong guys! Hopefully Costco.com and the manufacturer will adjust quality standards to make sure this doesn't happen to others in the future becuase it is a great vanity for the price.

Happy Vanity Purchase

"I was a little nervous about buying a vanity for my fabulous new master bath at Costco, but they had this one on display and after looking it over several times I couldnt find any problems so had my contractor pick it up. It was hundreds cheaper than any other double sink i saw on line and I've been very happy with it for almost a year now. No complaints, no problems, an attractive vanity and an excellant deal."

Love it

Pros: great price for what you get
Cons: granite doesn't repel water well, softclose drawers are hard to open/shut, will probably have to get plumbing redone
"I love this vanity, we bought it for our guest/kids bathroom and it's gorgeous in there. Only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is we had to have our plumbing redone for the pipes to fit, the drawers are soft close but you really have to tug on them to open them and push them to get them to close...but that's alright. Most important thing is that the granite is not sealed, even after sealing it twice it seems to get stained by the water which will dry up after awhile but with 2 little kids that like to leave puddles on the counter it pretty much always looks spotty. I will try sealing it a third time. Overall though, absolutely LOVE it compared to all the other options I looked at."

Great Deal...

Pros: sturdy, elegant, good deal
Cons: drawers are stiff
Model Number: 338595
"We purchased this double sink for our bathroom reomodel and it has been installed for about a month now. It looks great. Overall we are really happy with it and would purchase again. It is VERY sturdy and looks great in our bathroom. Two sinks are a great bonus at this price. Delivery was relatively quick and it was carefully packaged with no damage. It is really heavy as it comes in one piece with the little backsplash on the side for optional use. Now, eventhough there are tons of things we love about this I feel like reviews should point out what could be improved as well...so here are a few things that should be noted when purchasing this: 1) Color: While it is expresso, its very dark as the photo shows and almost looks black in real life. 2) Drawers - they seem sturdy and have the soft close feature which is nice but they are pretty stiff (meaning you have to give them a good tug before they pull out and a good push to go in all the way) Not a deal breaker and they are sturdy, but they don't exactly gllide in and out effortlessly. 3) Granite comes unsealed. We sealed it with a nice sealer and it makes a huge difference. Do it right away as it only takes a half hour or so but it will repel water much better. 4) Check the installation instructions for exact plumbing measurements as the back of this is not completely open. We had to raise our pipes a bit to fit ino this opening. A little bit of a pain but once we got it right, it was installed and we love having an elegant double sink now in our new bathroom. So far so good!"

Not Twin Sinks....

Pros: nice finish granite top no slam drawers and door
Cons: sinks not the same easly chipped paint
"Our new vanity has been installed for about a month and I have LOVED the change in our bathroom .however, I just realized that our sinks are not the same there is a different in the drain slope....I don't even know how to explain it. It sort of bugs me. Part of me wants to contact the company for a partial refund....but I can't return it because it's already installed....Oh well overall it's a okay product for a great value!. Guess you get what you pay for!"

Beautiful and sturdy w/ some significant problems

Pros: beautiful solid wood, terrific storage
Cons: granite gets water stains, paint wearing away at corners that get wet
"This item's been installed in my bathroom for about 2-3 months now, and it really is a lovely piece. There are a couple of problems to take note of though. First, the granite, though attractive, does allow sitting water to stain it so that it takes hours to go back to it's natural color afterward. So, I bought some pricey granite sealer, applied it properly, but it still stains. I don't mind too much though, and just squeegee the whole counter when it gets soaked. Also, the finish is already wearing away to the bare wood on the cabinet door fronts at corners that catch the most water. This is troubling, but overall, I'm still glad I bought it b/c the price is very reasonable ($200 rebate brought it to about $1000). I'll probably go out and find some black paint to cover those spots soon."

Beautiful, well made but a couple of quirks

Pros: high quality great value, granite top neutral and easy to coordinate with
Cons: pulls should be one piece not three each, very heavy, plumbing cut outs may not match existing plumbing
"First piece of furniture I've ever ordered sight unseen, and it gave exactly the look I wanted for a bath renoviation in a double vanity.
Pros - high quality, well made cabinet with high end features ie slow close drawers made it a great value for the price. The granite is a neutral that makes it easy to match tile or marble - we didn't use the backsplash provided since we tiled the wall behind for more of a custom look. And the neutral pattern hides toothpaste splatters, etc well!
Cons - very heavy, packing slip said 400 pounds! Curbside delivery is just that, I had to beg the delivery guys with folding money in hand to move it an extra 2 feet from front porch to the inside my foyer. The top is already permanently attached. Contractor did not enjoy wrestling to the bath! The pulls are oddly made of three pieces that screw together instead of a single piece. Two of mine had threads stripped and I had to call Costco for a (prompt) replacement. Worst quirk was the cut outs for plumbing weren't low enough for my existing plumbing, so contractor had to cut into each drawer to fit drain traps. Doesn't show from outside, but limits storage space quite a bit. Finally, I've come to wish for a matching storage cabinet (vanity doesn't have much space) but no matching pieces. Still, overall I'm very pleased, esp for the price. If you want better than big box home improvement store quality, this is for you.

Cons: hard to fit up stairways

Good value

"Just installed this vanity. Very good design, in general well made. Small chip in one of the false drawer fronts, hopefully this will get replaced. As others have commented, granite seems impossible to match (to get sidesplash made) and manufacturer hasn't responded to my request for the name of the granite."

60" vanity

Pros: great looking unit, very functional
Cons: sagging middle, hard to open drawers
Model Number: New Waves Malibu 60" Double Sink Vanity
"The vanity had exactly the functionality I needed in my master bath. The drawers under the sink were awesome. There were a few problems. 1) one of the doors looked like it had been repaired (not very well) but I got a replacement for that door and it is great. 2) the reason some people may have had cracking of the granite is that the vanity is very heavy and it sags in the middle. There is a 5th leg in the middle and the plastic piece at the bottom that was on the other 4 legs was not there. So that leg that should have supported the middle was shorter causing the middle to sag. My vanity did not crack but I did have to put some shims on that 5th leg to support the middle. 3) The self closing drawers are great but you have to yank the drawers open. Hopefully over time that will get easier. Even with all of these problems it was still worth it because the look and funcitonality for the price could not be beat."

Cracked top

"When the product arrived, it looked very pretty -- I wasn't crazy about the coloring of the granite top, but the cabinet was nice and the easy-close drawers worked well. Our handyman came over to help us get it installed, and while we moved it the top cracked very easily, straight down the middle. Costco took the return no questions asked, but we had to arrange for transportation back to the warehouse and the whole event has delayed the completion of our project by months."

Unpleasant color

Pros: cost
Cons: online picture of granite is distant
"The granite color reminds me of leopard print. I was hoping for less of an orange fleck color. A deeper tan main color with gold fleck is what I expected. We are sleeping on the decision to send it back but were headed that direction."

Not As Great As Everyone Claims

"The quality and look are very good. No complaints there... However, I had a couple of issues with the product. Because there are base drawers under the sinks, there isn't a lot of room for the drainage pipes to be installed. Unfortunately, because our house's pipes are set a tad low, our contractor had to remove the base drawers. Additionally, the left side wood panel's paint was totally crackling. I'm not sure if that happened during shipping or in storage at their warehouse, but it didn't look too nice. Fortunately, the left side of our vanity is up against a wall, so it didn't affect me terribly. I agree with an earlier reviewer... it would have been nice to have an option for a backsplash for the side (sidesplash?)..."

Lot of Storage

Pros: love the drawers and extra storage space
Cons: no side backsplash option
Model Number: New Waves Malibu 60" Double Sink Vanity
"This is the 1st ever big ticket item I purchased online without seeing the actual product or sample. I took a chance and ordered this vanity based on the good online reviews and general experience with local Costco store purchases.
Delivery was earlier than expected and I actually received the product in less than 2 weeks time. I am happy with the quality and design of this vanity. I understand that other customers had issue with the granite colors. However, being neutral is positive for me so it can go easily with my decor.
I am replacing a single sink 60" vanity in my kids' bathroom with this double sinks 60" vanity. The additional drawers and storage space is a big plus for my boys. I am so happy with it that I just placed another order for 2 of the 42" single sink vanities for my master bathroom."

Beautiful Vanity!!!!!

"I purchased this vanity based on the reviews and I was not disappointed. It is amazing! The color is more black than dark brown and the granite is beautiful. Very neutral colors and matched perfectly with my darker granite tub & shower. After getting this piece I decorated with black accents and everything is so elegant. I did have a small problem with the backsplash, too. My Contractor put it on and it was not even on the bottom so the caulking is a little noticable. Colored caulking should tone down the white. The sinks are beautiful and so is the trim around the sink rims. Very nice wood and handles. I am very happy with this product and buying it based on these reviews. Another great Costco item! Excellent quality and a reasonable price!"

Great price!

Pros: good price very quick delivery
Cons: granite color impossible to match
"Vanity looks really nice and is a great price for what you get, hardware, granite and sinks included.
Only trouble we had is that the granite top does not match any granite that we needed to finish remodeling our master bathroom (tub top and shower bench)
We had several people look at the color and had never seen it before...if you don't have to match the granite, no big deal.

Very Nice Vanity!

Pros: great quality, arrives completely assembled, installed easily, doors have auto close feature
Cons: granite pedestrian palate
"I purchased the vanity and am very happy with it. The wood is a beautiful espresso shade, and the granite attractive (but unfortunately not the most sophisticated palate). It arrived well wrapped and all in one piece (except backsplash), intact and really impressive. I did not use the backsplash; rather, I purchased the Marbella glass tiles and used them around the entire vanity - beautiful! I give it 4 stars because the granite is rather pedestrian."
