Uses:
Temporarily relieves these symptoms due to hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies:
Runny nose
Sneezing
Itchy, watery eyes
Itching of the nose or throat
Directions:
Adults and Children 6 Years and Over
One 10 mg tablet once daily; do not take more than one 10 mg tablet in 24 hours. A 5 mg product may be appropriate for less severe symptoms.
Adults 65 Years and Over
Ask as doctor.
Children Under 6 Years of Age
Ask a doctor.
Consumers with Liver or Kidney Disease
Ask a doctor.
Drug Facts:
Active Ingredient (in each tablet) - Cetirizine HCL 10 mg
Purpose - Antihistamine
Inactive Ingredients:
Corn Starch, FD&C Blue #1, Hypromellose, Lactose, Magnesium Stearate, Polydextrose, Polyethylene Glycol, Povidone, Titanium Dioxide, Triacetin.
Warnings:
Do not use if you have ever had an allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients or to an antihistamine containing hydroxyzine.
Ask a doctor before use if you have liver or kidney disease. Your doctor should determine if you need a different dose.
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking tranquilizers or sedatives.
When using this product:
Drowsiness may occur
Avoid alcoholic drinks
Alcohol, sedatives, and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness
Be careful when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery
Stop use and ask a doctor if an allergic reaction to this product occurs. Seek medical help right away.
If pregnant or breast-feeding:
If breast-feeding; not recommended
If pregnant; ask a health professional before use
Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

"Compare to Zyrtec is key...if you suffer from allergies to food coloring this product is not for you. Zyrtec brand contains no food coloring in their product, however Kirkland brand does.
My son is allergic to many things, and food coloring is one of them. This product made him sick."

Great product ... replaced my Benadryl
Pros: one tablet daily is easy to take, rock-bottom price per tablet.
"My dr. suggested a Zyrtec-type antihistamine with 1 tablet daily instead of the multiple Benadryl I was taking to control allergies. The Kirkland Aller-Tec works great!"

Great Deal/works great
"My husband used to take the prescription Zyrtec. Once it went to an "over the counter" drug, it was much more expensive. This works just as well and it is MUCH cheaper. I would highly recommend this product if you are or were taking Zyrtec."

The best allergy medicine around
"My husband and daughter have severe allergies and nothing seems to work very long. These pills were recommended by an allergist so we took a shot. Both my husband and daughter love them and say they have never had anything work as well as these. We would highly recommend them to anyone that suffers horribly from any type of allergy. Thanks Costco for getting them here so quickly."

Sometimes it works, sometimes not

"I'm wondering if there has been a production problem, because sometimes the Kirkland CETIRIZINE pills do exactly as expected, and sometimes it is as if I didn't taken it. But when it works it does what I need, though I also find that it is a very capable sedative."

"My fmaily took Zyrtec regularly and I can honestly say that the effectiveness of this medicine is not as good as Zyrtec. Therefore, I still spend much more for Zyrtec."

As Good As Zyrtec
"I had been using Zyrtec, as it was great at relieving my seasonal hayfever symptoms. A friend recommended that I try this as an alternative, and since it was a fraction of the price, I did. Quite often, generics OTC's don't work for me the same as name brands, but this product did what I wanted it to. I have used it for about a year, and it still relieves my symptoms as well as Zyrtec without making me drowsy. A great buy!"

"Generic for Zyrtec. You only pay about 4cent pr tablet vs zyrtec 50 cent to 1dollar pr tablet. Works just the same. Very pleased."

Pros: it really helps
Cons: it's a drug
"Drugs, no matter over the counter or prescribed, should be taken with caution. There is no "free ride" with any drug, including aspirin. That said, for me, this drug taken twice per day eliminates most allergic symptoms to dust mites, dog and cat."

Best Allergy Relief for the Money
Pros: effectiveness, cost
"Works just like Zrytec for me. I am a long time allergy sufferer and have tried many OTC medications in recent years due to my insurance no longer covering these types of allergy medications. Zrytec always worked but expensive to use on a daily basis.
Enter Aller-tec, just as effective and MUCH more economical. This is what I use daily now & have been for 2yrs.
I highly recommend!"

Works Great
"I have taken Zyrtec and geberics for years, I switched to Kirkland brand last year. It works just as good and is much cheaper than the others. I've read other reviews and did not find it addicting or have any side effects from the it."
