Perfect Boneless Prime Rib

Pros: price per pound, lean cut well trimmed, two small roast perfect for smaller crowd
Cons: description should clarify that roasts are boneles
"PERFECT PRIME RIB!!!! This is an outstanding value for an excellent Choice cut boneless prime rib. One 4 lb roast generously fed four with enough leftover for French dip sandwiches. I don't particularly care for boneless prime rib (bones add flavor) but I got around that problem by tying the roast to five beef ribs purchased separately at the market. The ribs act as a rack and add flavor to the meat and the au jus. I brought the roast to room temp for 2 hrs prior to cooking, rubbed roast with oil and S&P, browned one side and both ends, tied ribs to un-browned side, and then roasted at 250 degrees on lowest rack position for about 2 1/2 hrs. Roast was an absolute perfect 122 deg rare to medium when done. Sliced perfectly and had the perfect amount of fat. Can't wait to cook the second one....and will probably try dry aging it first next time."

prime rib

"Somewhat disappointing. I have always raved about the Costco meat quality and whas not overwhelmed with this. It was flavorful but not very tender. Not at all like prime rib from my favorite restaurants. One of very few items I have bough at Costco that did not please me."

a great experiance

"i will order again. this was my first time cooking one of these. you must use the meat thermomiter, and if you want medium rare take it out when thermomitor says very rare as it continues to cook, the other thing is plan to cook it approx 2 hours. I figured it would only take 45 minutes to 1 hour, i even tested my thermoniter to see if it was working. now i need to convince my wife that it would worth the food cost to serve it on poker night to my fellow poker players, That may take some doing!"

Exceptionally Good and Fairly Economical

"Purchased the prime rib roasts for my husband who said they match anything he's ever had in a restaurant. Cooked one roast and put the other in the freezer for later. The roast carved into 10 nice-sized slices, to which I added Au Jus, bagged and froze for individual meals, and they taste wonderful after thawing and zapping for 15-30 seconds. Great purchase!"

delicious!!

"We purchased the prime rib at the store during Christmas time. It was the best meat our family ever had. Very buttery, soft, and melted in your mouth. The prime rib was a huge success. Just follow the directions (very easy to prepare). Would recommend using a meat thermometer to make sure it is prepared to your liking."

Excellent Prime Rib

Pros: good value for the $$, and easy to prepare
"This prime rib roast was very easy to prepare. I used a meat thermometer to not over cook it, it came out just perfect.
A previous reviewer wished the description indicated that it was boneless, but it was indicated that it was a boneless prime rib roast.
You will not be disappointed if you purchase this!"
