Worth the purchase price
Pros: excellent buy for the money.
"The finished stand looks better than the picture on-line. I was able to assemble it in less than an hour with only a screwdriver and the allen wrench that came with it. The product was well packaged and did not have any damage from shipping. This stand looks better and was less expensive than many of the stands that I looked at on-line and in some of the furniture and computer stores. I felt comfortable ordering this product sight unseen because I know that Costco allows you to return items if you are dissatisfied. The only critique I have, and it is a small one, is that I was not aware that you had to fully assemble this product."

"I should have read the other reviews first! The instructions are vague! Once I read what others had done to get the bottom on, it went together well. The media console is a very nice looking piece of furniture. We actually just ordered a second one for upstairs. It shipped within a couple days!"

Sturdy, but some minor flaws

Cons: cheap assembly hardware, gap between drawers
"When assembled, the unit seems very sturdy (esp. the top piece and shelves). But during assembly, a couple pieces broke, and when assembled, there's a noticeable gap between the top and bottom drawers, they should've added a small spacer between them. Also, the back panel had a small crack in it from shipping abuse, but I'll live with it. I was surprised how big it seems, it could almost hold 2 TVs!"

"Unfortunately, unit had several chips/dents in the wood. Told it would be replaced, but it's been a week and still have not heard back from the customer service rep. Otherwise, a decent console for the price."

"Well made...even had a choice of nickel or wood draw pulls (nice touch)....didn't take too long to put together...looks great in the room and looks like many others we checked out that were 2 to 3 times more money. Thanks Costco!"

Outstanding product!
Pros: good materials easy to assemble
"This media console is really great, and a fine product for a decent price. It arrived well packaged; UPS could not destroy it. The pieces are heavy and some are large, but I could handle them (and I am 80). All parts were well marked and instructions were clear, except for how to install the bottom shelf that requires lifting it up from the bottom and the diagram is not clear about that. All hardware was supplied and worked well. The assembled console looks great, like a real piece of furniture, and now has our new 55" TV and several ancillary pieces and a 5:1 surround system, all looking very professional and quality ."

Love it!
"Wonderful console for our new 46" TV. The first one came damaged but customer service was absolutely wonderful and shipped a new one out right away. It's a good height and the shelves (adjustable) fit the DVD player, cable box, receiver with room to spare. Looks much more expensive than we paid. We put felt pads on the legs so it's easier to move around, it's pretty heavy otherwise. Very satisfied with this purchase!"

Best Purchase Ever

"I purchased this item and I could not be more happy. I had bought one for the same money but much smaller from Ashley and it was damaged and not near the quality. I ordered this and got it in less than 3 days straight to my door. It was pretty easy to assemble and is a beautiful attraction in my front room. I could not be more happy with my purchase and was definitely worth the money. In the pic the color looks a little darker than it actually is, which was a very good thing also.""

2 improvements would be huge
Pros: fairly solid overall, nice finish, lots of space, looks much more expensive than it is
Cons: poor drawer quality, unfinished front edge of full length bottom shelf
"Overall, for the money, it is quite nice. Easy to assemble as well, and I hate assembling "furniture." But two changes would make this MUCH better.
1. When you assemble it, the main bottom component (essentially the entire bottom shelf), rests on top of supports. But the unfinished edge of this shelf is even with the finished edge of the front. And the shelf I received was a tiny bit warped. Warped enough that it's raise on the left corner, and you can see the unfinished edge. Either recessing the bottom shelf even 1/8" of an inch below the front finished trim, or just finishing the front edge of the bottom shelf, would be a nice improvement.
2. The drawer quality is not that great. Anytime I see the typical "cam lock" I cringe. I don't think they hold up very well. The drawer sides and bottom are thin too. Having a better mounting mechanism for the door front would be a nice improvement, and slightly thicker sides and drawer bottoms as well. This is the one area I'm worried about holding up to the kids going in and out to get their video games.
But overall, for $300, you can't go wrong really, for a playroom/rec room. I don't think I'd want it in my main living room/family room. It does look quite nice though, sans the issue with the unfinished bottom shelf."

"This is an excellent value. Be sure that you have two people to put this together, since it is too heavy to manipulate for one. Previous comments were very helpful, such as putting the door knobs on before the top and laying the bottom in from the top rather than following the instructions. Also, be aware that the hardware screws provided are not the ones shown in the instructions. The use of more efficient screws is better, but doesn't show in the directions. We're very happy with this piece of furniture."

A Gem
Pros: great piece of furniture overall
Cons: difficult to hookup with small holes on the back ., a detachable back panel would make hookup easier., finished paint can be rub off easily by cables.
"Console arrived much earlier than promised in great condition. No scratch as other reviewer had mentioned. It was easy to install. Good design, both functional and cosmetic. Looks expensive could costs double if sold as finished furniture. You need 9 ft long cables to do the hook up, because you can't do it from the back throught the small holes. You have to pull the components out to the front to plug in your cable to the rear of your component. The washers provided for the hex bolts to secure the bottom panel to the frame are too small, therefore, it can go into the wood slot and causes the bolt to bottom out and

well worth the money
"a really nice console for my 47 LG . Easy to put together and in excellent condition. The only issue I had was the smell of the wood was very chemical for several days.Beautiful assett to my familyroom.Love it !"

"Looked nice in the picture. Great price. Looks good in person too. It was difficult to put the bottom shelf on. I thought the panel wouldn't fit but I had it upside down because the instructions were vague - and I think there is a better way to put it together. My mom and I had to use a few tools to pry the bottom into place - not easy. After that the assembly wasn't too bad."

Wonderful purchase!

"Although I would have liked a lighter shade of brown for the intended use, I was amazed at the quality of the item, considering it is a veneer. Also, it arrived very quickly, within a few days of placing the order.
A handyman put it together in an hour and had no problems at all. He did not say anything negative about the legs, the drawers or anything else.
I plan to change out the drawer handles for something that will tie into the decor in the room.
I would highly recommend this product as a great value and great console for a 55 inch TV screen."
