2 units out of 4 broken

"Photo sensors on 2 out of 4 of the lites were not working, so I am returning the entire set to the Costco warehouse.
If the 2 lights were not broken, I'd have given this 3 stars.
On the two that did work, they do function as described.
The lights are real bright
however, they are glaringly bright (as all strong LED's are) and very hard on the eyes when used as a night light on the wall at eye level (for instance over the kitchen or bathroom counter). They are much less glaring and less bothersome to the eyes when used on the wall outlets closer to the floors.
The photo sensors on the lights are not very sensitive (not that accurate) and so the lights go on automatically when it's not yet all that dark, and does not turn off at dawn unless a stronger light source hits the sensor."

Does More Than It Says It Does

Pros: very bright, rotates and pivots, decisive during a power outage
"My wife and I have a two-bedroom apartment on the second floor of a two-storey building in an area that is prone to flooding and power outages during very big rainstorms in The Catskills. I find some LED lights have a night-light function that is either indecisive or provide ineffective lighting. I have to say that this device is risk-free in either regard.
It rotates; it has three setings that all work consistently well; when the power goes out it really DOES light up a staircase well even if its light source is a storey away; and, it holds a charge for a long time.
Avoid the other options for nightlights you might be looking at. I've probably either seen them or owned them; that being said, stick with this choice and you won't be sorry!"

Costco Quality Control Fails Again!

Pros: bright light
Cons: sensors do not work
Model Number: LPL 1055
"I just returned (without any problem) the Eco-I-Lite night lights that I purchased from the Costco Warehouse 2 months ago because the sensor stopped working on one of the 2 units and the LED light did not come on at night.
These units, I suppose, are an improvement since the sensor does not work on any of the 4 units so ALL are on ALL the time unless you manually turn them off. Once again the sensors failed to work!!!!
What happened to Cosco's reputation for quality control???

0 for 4!

"All four units failed within the first month. When they work, they're great. Bright light, swivel head, good sensor, etc. Unfortunately, all four failed at some point during the 30 days I had them. I'm returning them to Costco, very disappointed with the lack of any longevity. It's really a shame, because when they did function, they were exactly what I needed for the blackouts that we get hit with far too often. Great idea, horrible execution."

Could be better

"I purchased 2 sets of these. I like the light that they put out but 2 of the 8 units gave out and would not come on unless they were plugged in. I called the manufacturer and they sent me two new units but it took about 6 weeks to get them."
