"I purchased the Outlast sheets, mattress pad and comforter and started using them one at a time. I really liked the sheets and comforter, and in fact ordered a second set, but the mattress pad just made me hotter, so I returned it."

Review 2 for Outlast® Queen Mattress Pad
Date:January 31, 2011
Outlast technology works!
Pros: outlast technology works!, very good heat dissipation., good moisture dissipation, helps managing symptoms of hot flashes, helps manage temperature differences in partners
"Bottom line: The "Outlast" technology works as promised. It's not an instant complete fix but it makes a big difference.
We use this mattress pad together with the "Outlast" blanket.
I was mostly looking for a way to manage heat and moisture in our bed as a result of my hot flashes. The heat dissipates much, much faster and the moisture evaporates faster even though we use cotton sheets and we put the blanket in a cotton duvet cover.
The Outlast technology also helps with a long term challenge we've always had where my body temperature runs a little cold and my partner runs quite hot. The outlast bedding seems to be helping us find a happy medium.
We like the overall feel of this mattress pad as a sleeping surface. It's a generally good topper or pillow layer in addition to having the unique Outlast technology.
We've had the blanket and mattress pad a little over two weeks in the middle of a Minnesota winter so it's had a good test with cold extremes. I'm curious how it will do when the summer heat hits. In any case, it's a keeper.
It seems well made with high quality ticking and a very stretchy panel that wraps snugly around our mattress even though it's only 11 inches thick. It looks a little like a honeycomb but you only see that when the sheets aren't on it. I find that rather interesting and not a draw back.
