Getting returned
"We bought 2 sets of these planters and in each set, there was one planter that was lop-sided and crooked. We ended up switching them all around so that we could keep 1 full set, but we are returning the other set. They are a good quality for the price, and they look good."

Happy with purchase
"Bought these last year; they held up great all summer. Already looking forward to getting them back out for another summer on the patio. We received many compliments on them.
Our patio gets a strong cross-wind however there is plenty of room inside to add bricks for extra stability.
Note: The openings vary so double check before purchasing planters to sit in them."

Great planters!
"I have been looking for planters for two years and so glad I bought these. They are beautiful and look great on my front deck. The larger one is VERY tall and big so make sure you have plenty of room on your deck for them. The only negative, which is minor, is that the plant lining is silver--would have liked brown to match the outside. They have knobs on the bottom that turn so you can adjust the height to make it level. They also glide on the deck, even filled with dirt. You won't be sorry you purchased these. I have gotten so many compliments!"

Excellent but not Portofino
Pros: sturdy well built and beautiful
Cons: not exactly portofino
"As the other reviewer states, these planters are not part of the Portofino collection. The Portofino collection comes from the Red Star Traders. They have a Portofino and Cantina collections of furniture, and these planters are actually part of the Cantina collection. That said, they don't look that out of place. They seem to have stripes one of which matches the Portofino color, and the other one is a bit lighter. It still looks great in my opinion.
The planters themselves are beautiful and well built. If you're really picky about them matching the rest of your furniture, you may be disappointed, but otherwise you will love them.
I would give them five stars if they matched the rest of my furniture perfectly as the name would imply."

Don't match the portofino furniture
"The planters are great, nice quality, good construction would have been fantastic on our new patio. Except...
They don't match the other portofino collections on the costco website! They're actually a completely different collection (which the box even states) and look nothing like the portofino furniture we also purchased.
Evidently they come from different plants and there are issues with a material shortage and something about how it takes time to reset all the machines with the correct material, so the matching planters won't be available until later this year.
So if you're buying these to match your portofino furniture, don't bother until the problem gets corrected. If you like what you see in the pictures and aren't trying to match it to a specific collection, then these should be great for you!"

Never Ending Compliments!
"I had been looking everywhere for planters to go with our patio furniture when I finally found these.. I was a little bit nervous considering they were so 'cost effective' compared to all others in the marketplace.
I went ahead and bought them considering I could always return them if they weren't what I hoped for.. definitely no need. They are absolutely fabulous!! Very high quality, extremely sturdy and an absolute steal for the price. Put it this way - our landscape designer is joining Costco just so she can purchase these planters - so buy them while you can!!"

Great for the lazy gardener
"I've been looking for years for tall (varied height) planters for my front porch to hold large plants. I like to buy the plants from the nursery and put them (pot and all) inside planters and toss the whole plant when the season is over. With most tall planters I've found, you have to fill the bottom with rocks or (worse yet), 50 pounds of soil and actually plant them. The inserts in these planters make them perfect for purchasing your favorite plants, placing them directly in the insert (drainage holes are already drilled in the liners which is even better) and you have a beautiful set perfect for the porch or deck. The resin wicker is very nice and looks like it will hold up for years to come. Other planters similar to these cost more for one planter than for this 3-pack. One caution, the two larger planters will easily hold a 10" potted plant, but the smaller one will only hold an 8" plant. The dimensions for the smaller one made me think that the inserts were all large enough to hold 10" plants. Currently, mine are on the front porch sporting gorgeous calla lilies."
