A little cheap

Pros: decent amount of stuff for the cost
Cons: some of the stuff is cheap and useless
"Overall I am happy with the product. I have purchased many emergency supplies from many different sites, this is a great value for the price. My two major Problems are with the crank radio first I had alot of plans of using the dc charging feature to recharge my batteries but I'm afraid it will fall apart if I actually crank it up. Number two is I hadn't even had it for 5 min when i put the backpack on the strap cinches exploded and it fell to the floor at least I had another backpack to use in the closet"

Great starter pack

"Good price for what you get. Missing a few key things but a great way to get started. The bag construction isn't the highest quality but it will be fine in a pinch."

Good Value

Pros: great value, comprehensive, room to add stuff
Cons: a few corners cut on quality
"This is one of the most complete packs I've found in terms of areas of need covered. It is also one of the most realistic in terms of quantity of food and water. (Even so I've added even more water in deference to living in the desert southwest.)There is no question that a couple of the items are a little low on the quality scale. Serviceable, but cheap. But even so, you cannot duplicate this pack at this terrific price. It is a great value. There is also room to add some items of your own. I've recommended these packs to a number of friends. You can build your own pack, but you are going to spend much, much more. And perhaps the critical point is...will you? Will you get around to it? Order these packs, have them in a few days, and be prepared!"

Questionable quality

Pros: nice variety water and food
Cons: lack of quality, questionable reliability of radio and other items
"The crank radio looks like a plastic toy and you have to crank it up for a few minutes to see if it is going to work as promised. There is no battery, which I think is a better option for an emergency when you are stressed, and then use a crank when the batteries are used up. Cranking for one minute doesn't sound like much, but when you're under a great deal of stress, it is. And, to get any length of time for the radio and flashlight, you have to crank longer. Great for battery backup, but this is so cheap - it really does not give confidence that it will work in an emergency. I turned the siren on and had a great deal of trouble getting it turned off.
The other items look good, but are they? You would have to open the plastic bags and use them to find out if the quality and reliability is there. Based on the lack of quality in the radio - I'm sending this back. When you invest this kind of money in emergency supplies, you don't want to take the chance on whether it will provide what it is supposed to provide. I would rather pay a little more and be assured of the reliability of my emergency supplies."
