Not for everybody

Model Number: Ironman Elite 1760 Recumbent Bike
" Bought the product after my old unit (different brand) broke down. Had it delivered to my house and assembled by a profesional team in an hour. Happily, i hopped on and started peddling. I found everything nice and dandy except the difficult adjustment of the seat positioning knob.
Now I tried very hard to pull the knob up and adjust the distance to the length of my legs. I am not tall, i.e. 5'2", and found out the peddle is barely reacheable. There is absolutely no way to adjust the seat closer to the peddle to fulfill the purpose of peddling the machine in a healthy manner.
I called the manufacturer only to find out that the machine is designed for people that are 5'6" and taller. Why this is not mentioned in their instructoin or sales brochure.
I had no problem with the old unit or the displayed unit in Costco store by different brands. Now ??? "

more pros than cons

" I had the bike for a week now. It works well and exceeds expectation. Pros: Seat is very comfortable, makes huge difference!; display is nice too, assembly was easy except one tweaking and pulling to screw parts together; It is also very quiet, almost silent even with heavy peddling. I found only one con so far, but very significant. The seat is pretty wobbly in all for direction. I tried to tighten everything but the steal beams that are supposed to be inserted to each other have sizable gaps and with every peddling, the seat wobbles. The frame of the bike itself does not wobble and is staying put, however. Overall, a definite keeper! "

Excellent purchase

Model Number: 1760
" This bike has been a fantastic addition to my fitness repertoire; the only difficulty with this equipment is the carriage bolts for the two stabilizer bars are too long; the manufacturer offered to replace them, but I had no problem replacing them much quicker through my local hardware store. Extremely quiet and comfortable to use while I watch TV. "
