Looks great but Trojan Horse

Pros: looks great; good value
Cons: poor quality or construction
Model Number: 499177
"Looks great and great value but with NO usage outer shell separated from inner/lower shell. I am working to return it. I am renovating the home and re-selling it so this delay is costly for the closing of the escrow. Careful."

Tough Installation!

Pros: looks good
Cons: even a pro will have a tough time installing this
Model Number: Advanta Reverie Freestanding Tub
"We purchased this item online for our bath renovation from only a picture and description, and a leap of faith that it would fit our floorplan. Online documentation left me with a question which was answered by Costco within a day. My Plumber managed to locate all inlets and drains, but found the actual installation of the unit to be very difficult. Still not perfect, but functional and looks good."

beautiful but small

Cons: too small for a master tub
"It says 69" but that is rim to rim. The rims are very wide (so you can mount your faucet and place your tea cup/wine glass.) but the wide rims mean the interior is smaller. In addition there is a large taper from the top opening down to the bottom. I'm 5 ' 8" and couldn't straighten my legs; my husband had his knees in his chest. The reality is it is the same size as the 60" x 30" tub we have in our family bath that our kids use. But it is pretty!"

Beautiful Bathtub!

Pros: great look & value
"This tub came wrapped up quite nicely. After unpacking it carefully, we looked it over. At least in the lighting of our garage, we could see no flaws. In fact, it's very attractive! It looks much more expensive than it really is. We haven't hooked it up yet as our new house is still being built. But so far we are very pleased with it!
Buying from Costco gives us peace of mind. If the tub does have a flaw or any issues when we go to install it, they'll make it right.

Good but be careful

"I loved this tub, but it came with scratches & so did the replacement - so my biggest caution would be to check it and see if there are any scratches and see if they matter to you."

Great design, nicely finished, good value

Pros: simple and effective drain system, great "organic" style, nicely finished, rapid delivery
Cons: poor installation instructions, challenging installation for my plumber
"I was looking for a contemporary freestanding tub that would be more of a focal point for my master bath remodel than the large '80s built in jetted tub that was being replaced. This unit more than fit the bill both from a style and cost perspective. It transformed the look of my bathroom. A freestanding "designer" type tub can be many times the Costco price if purchased from a plumbing supply house . Contrary to other reviews here, my plumber found the installation challenging; the instructions were less than complete"

Great buy

Pros: great look & value
"Renovated our bath and wanted a feature tub to highlight it. This tub is it. Everyone comments on the shape, style and look of the tub. Our installer said it was easy to install since it is two pieces and access to the pipes was great. We installed a separate sprayer so we needed 5 holes and they all fit perfectly."

Spacious Comfortable Tub

Pros: deep comfortable soaking tub, includes custom fit drain and overflow system
"Received this tub in less than two weeks in perfect condition. It is sitting in our bedroom awaiting installation and everyone in the family has tried it and found it to be really comfortable. It looks great and is very deep and the back is really comfortable, especially for tall people. This tub is by Maax and retails for considerably more than we paid at Costco."
