Alera 36" x 36" bookcase cherry finish veneer

"It fits in with my cherrry desk and office furniture. My problem with these pre-fab bookcases in the past have been the flimsy shelves and shelf support pins. This bookcase has full 1" thick shelves and a well engineered shelf support system. I have the shelves loaded with books, which in the past have caused the shelves to either break the pin hole or the shelf to sag. Neither has happened with this bookcase. It has been a great buy and for the price, much more than adequate."

Cons: one of the wooden dowels was missing
"This is a very nice book case, it feels solid and looks great. It arrived in good condition and is a beautiful addition to my little home office."

bad experience
"i returned t his to costco unopened because it was a mistake order eventhough i cancel it right away online 5 minutes after i ordered it, it was still shipped to me; i instead wanted the 30x36 size but return that item also becuase the cherry wood veneer chipped when i was assembling it and the instructions were terrible, doesn't tell you which part is which (sauders has much better service) i called alera's number on the instruction sheet to try to replace the chipped piece of wood and get some help on assembly, the rep told me they had to email alera re my problem as they are not the right place to call, eventhough that was the only number in the product manual; nonone from alera ever called me back, so i returned it to costco, thanks to costco they took it back"
