Great pens, great price

"I order the office supplies for our office, and time & time again I'm asked to reorder these pens when they're out of stock."

Good enough for government work

"these pens aren't the best ever made, but they are cheap to buy, come in large quantities, and actually write pretty well. they are great for people going to college or work, and they are virtually indestructible."

Just Plain Poor

Cons: cheap ink, unbalanced, clogs, poor print quality
"I love me some Costco!
Generally speaking, I can flat out trust the products Costco sells. I really believe their buyers look long and hard at a product before deciding to carry it. These Zebra Z-Grip pens, however, are horrendous. No other word for it. I bought a 40-pack at a Costco store for $9.99, only because they were temporarily out of the Pilot gels I usually get. I absolutely refuse to use them. I keep them around only for those rare occasions when I completely run out of pens, and that's just to hold me over a few days.
You think the 1-star rating is harsh? Well, you name the pen characteristic and Zebra fails the test. The ink quality is terrible and looks thin and cheap on the page. The ink reservoir doesn't release even streams of ink and often clogs for a letter or three. The tips are sharp in places and jagged in others, yielding uneven print. The barrels feel super cheap and chintzy. The pen is completely unbalanced, like no testing at all was done back at the Zebra lab. Have I gotten my point across?
Just as a side note, I'm pretty adept at pointing out the positives in products, and feel I give fair reviews. This review is fair.
