"I bought these units for my garage after Sandy destroyed my former units in which the angle iron frame had particleboard shelves. The alera shelves are entirely made of metal and are strong.
The assembling of the units were a bit difficult for one person."

"I am no stranger to wire shelving systems, having built more than I care to remember since their introduction. Although they look ostensivly the same, they are not. There are pronounced differences in finish, regularity, quality of the machined parts and hardware, and weight. After just putting up five of these, I believe these to be the best yet, even better than the expensive ones that I have purchased at a restaurant supply store. There is plenty of range in the levelers, allowing for setup in irregular flooring. I could find no blemishes or thick spots in the finish, something that has been a problem in the past. Overall these are so good that I'm going to get more to replace some others whose finish is rapidly aging. Packaging of these units was well designed and the cardboard used in the boxes very thick with strongly glued seams.
Costco's shipping was astounding. I ordered them in the afternoon and was surprised at 7am the next morning with the entire shipment. Amazing!"

Quality, strength and good looks

"I bought this shelving for my son's bedroom.
I am very please with it. Needed son's help, but was assembled in minutes. Looks great, the black accented his furniture, has large TV on it for now--hope to get a flat screen soon.
Bottom shelf holds athletic shoes, etc. Brought some order for larger items that don't fit in drawers or closet. Great buy."
