Good but not great.

"I bought this shed back in April 2012. I have had it up for almost a year now. The shed does take longer to put together than specified but then again I put it together by myself. Sometimes is was diffucult and had to brace things but it is doable with some difficulty. It does not leak even thou you can see daylight. (This includes thru monsoon season.) The water collects in the U channel roof supports and then flows out and off the roof. The only big Issue I have is the doors. It is square and flush but the locking mechanisim on the folding door is very difficult to use. I fixed this by attaching a after market lock from the hardware store. The only other negative is ventalation. NOTE: I live in Arizona and it gets hot. I had to larger gable vents and a solar powered gable fan. With these additions it is about 4 or 5 degrees hoter than outside in the summer. Just make sure you take time to square and level the foundation. I used concrete."

It is everything I hoped it would be.

Pros: the product looks and feels better than i hoped, very sturdy and colors fit right in
Cons: instructions could have been a little better had, to figure some stuff on my own
Model Number: Item# 503190
"The instructions are a little confusing on some parts but despite that we (6 of us ) put it up in 5 1/2 hours. I have a second one to put up and think the second one will go up faster. I put mine on concrete and think that's the best choice if possible. It looks better than the picture."

Poor Quality

Model Number: 60026
"After reading several great reviews for this shed, I decided to purchase. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the plastic that the wall and roof panels were made of and don't anticipate that they will hold up for more than a couple of years, if that. Assembly takes much longer than the 8 hrs estimated in the book. We had 3 people and it took two full days. Several parts of the shed are very poor quality, such as the door locks -- they are very hard to move up and down and we have to use pliers every time we want to open the door. The door also does not line up well and therefore does not open and close easily. Overall poor quality and frustrating to assemble."

Aaaarrrgghhh...

"First and foremost - this building is not 11x21 at the base - it is 11x21 at the roof line - not the same thing. The foot print is 10x20 so its 200sf vs 231sf of storage - that's very misleading and to top it all off, we created a foundation pad that was 11x21 so there wouldn't be an area for water to puddle and seep under the flooring - ooops! The other big problem with this building is that the wall pieces are not uniform in height or width so our doors aren't closing flush. And, putting the thing together is a source of huge frustration because the codes in the instruction guide do not match the codes on the bags of parts - aaarrrrggghhhh....how did they get something that simple wrong??? So far it has taken us 3-full days to put this shed together and I won't be okay with this building until we get the doors flush."

Looks nice; leaks water from the roof

Pros: looks
Cons: water leaks from the roof
"I had a contractor put it together. The roof design allows water in from the seams, where the pieces come together. Will call Lifeline when they reopen. May have an update if they provide a solution."

Description of product needs to be accurate

"I just ordered the product. According to the description, it should have five skylights. It seems that only has two large skylights on top of the roof. Where are other three skyhgts located? Also it mentioned in the video about the extension of the garage shed in 30" section. However, searching in Costco website it does not show any availability of the product."

Great Storage Shed

Pros: good value, excellent natural lighting, maintenance free
Cons: instructions a little confusing, no parts to spare
"This is a large, nice-looking shed. I ordered it in April thinking that I would have plenty of time to work on the foundation before it arrived. It was delivered within ten days!
The foundation was the most difficult part of the entire process. You MUST make sure that your foundation is level, or you will have trouble "squaring up" your shed, particularly the doors.
I used pressure-treated 2x4s and 3/4" pressure-treated plywood sheets for the foundation. I filled the foundation framing with gravel and secured the sheets with screws. But I first leveled the entire area with a tractor.
I constructed the entire shed by myself, although my wife helped hold some pannels and trusses until it had some stability.
Be careful with your parts as the manufacturer does not include many extras - nearly every nut, bolt, washer, and screw was used. A few times I thought that I was short, but the items are packed in sections and I had enough to complete the project.
I plan on using some portable 2x4 reinforcing down the center of the shed for winter since my area regularly receives more than 6" of snow in a single storm. I also anchored the building with lag bolts."

Lifetime 11 X21 garage shed

Pros: good for storage but not as a full use garage, reasonably priced, ++ no permit required ++, neat look replacing storm my damaged tent garages
Cons: wait time for customer service, medium weight construction
Model Number: 11 X 21 Garage Shed
"The shed is good for storage. I use it for garden tools and my seldom used collector car. I don't think it would hold up to everyday in and out use for a daily driver.
Trifold doors are a PITA. Difficult to get them aligned properly. Friction latches jam up. When doors are not secured by a lock, I leave a 4 X 4 outside across the bottom because the latches don't meet well enough to hold against moderate wind.
I hung up twice after 7+ minute waits for customer service.

Build a shed in a week

Pros: you can assemble mostly by yourself
Cons: a few missing parts
"Total project time
Foundation : 10 hours over 4 days
Shed : 31 hours over 4 days
Very fast shipping, I ordered on Sunday,
and it was delivered by Friday.
They called me on Tuesday to schedule the delivery.
It came in 7 boxes, 3 wooden pallets.
I used a hand truck to move the boxes myself, but you could unpack and move the parts individually as they are very light.
I did this project mostly by myself, so it could have gone faster with more help.
You will definitely need 2 people to install the doors and the roof.
For the trusses it is possible with one person, and some ladders to hold one side, but it is safer and recommended with 2 people.
I built the foundation from 8 6' x 6' pressure treated ground rated wood.
I filled with 2 yards of 5/8" crushed rock,
and hand tamped.
This was probably the hardest part of the job.
You want to make sure you have a good and level foundation before building.
Hauling the gravel took a while, but would go quicker with help.
The first day of shed erecting I got the floor down, and all the walls, and a few trusses. This was done alone and in 8 hours.
The second day, I got the rest of the walls, up, and the doors.
The door assembly takes quite a while.
It is not hard work, but it takes time to decipher the instructions, and assemble all 3 doors hardware.
This was 10 hours of work for me mostly alone.
You do need a 2nd person to put the doors up, but assembly of the doors themselves can be done alone.
The third day, I completed the roof, and roof cap. You need a step ladder and a 2nd person for the roof.
I also installled all the windows.
This was another 10 hour day.
The 4th day, was about 3 hours, installing window hardware.
I was missing as few parts, the door spring, some window latches, some screws. One of the skylights arrives flattened, so I asked for a replacement.
I called Lifetime and they said they will ship and arrive in 3-4 days.
I impressed with the quality of the shed.
Once the roof and roof cap goes on it becomes a very sturdy structure.
It looks good, and is mostly doable by 1 person, with a 2nd person making the job safer and go faster.
You probably can use the helper for about 2 days 10 hours total of work.
The shed looks good, is sturdy, and fairly easy to assemble.
I would count on a good week of work
for foundation and shed, maybe less time if you have help.

NIce Shed

"we purchase this shed for storage , We were very pleased with the size and quality. It was a little complicated to put together but worth the effort.
Even our contractor said he didnt think he could build something like it for this cost . the fact that its maintenance free is another bonus...

Quality building at great price

Model Number: 11' X 21"
"Plan on spending about five days, start to finish to construct this building.
It took me and a helper two days to construct the base for the unit and three days to assemble the shed.
We build the platform to support the shed using pressure treated 2x6 rim joists with 2x6 floor joists, 16" on center.
Instructions recommended 3/4 inch pressure treated plywood for deck. We used 2x6 deck boards costing about $70 dollars more than plywood - well worth it as the floor is much stronger and capable or supporting my truck.. Key to easy shed assembly is to build on a square, strong, level base. Rent or borrow a transit to get it dead level and measure diagonals to get the base square.
We had strong wind gusts on the day we were ready to stand up the walls causing us to postpone that step and jump ahead to door and truss assembly.
Assembly goes quickly during wall assembly but goes much slower during installation of roof panels. Be sure to use low torque setting on screw guns.
Doors and windows operate perfectly. Skylights add lots of extra light and are water tight.
Only down side was the lack of extra hardware. Dropped or misplaced screws and nuts will require you to run out to the hardware store to replace the missing piece.
I estimate that the building cost far less than half of what a conventional stick frame shed would cost, especially considering it's vinyl siding, 9" wide door, six operating windows, and integrated roof shingles.
We are very pleased with the building."

Good product

"After getting a few outragious estimates from contractors to build an extra garage stall for a collector car, I bought this product. As said by the other reviewer I spent more time setting up a foundation than I did building it. I didn't want to pour a concrete slab so I built a rectangular frame from pressure treated 4x6 and filled it with baserock (gravel) and packed it with a rented plate compactor.
Of course it would be easier to assemble with more people but I assembled it alone (used a ladder to stabilize wall panels while they were being attached). I did it over several days. You will need two sturdy people to move each box however (it came in 6 boxes).
It's been up for a couple of months now and I've got a midsize classic car in it with some room to spare for tools/equipment. It's been raining a lot and everything is very dry. It seems well engineered and very solid/stable. I'm very happy with it."

Extremely happy with this unit!!

Pros: quality, service / delivery, size, looks / finishes
Cons: alot of pieces - but not unexpected
Model Number: 11x21 Shed - one 1 door or the whole end
"Ordering and arranging for delivery super easy. Does come in large (very heavy) boxes on two pallets, but I would be disappointed if not - it's a building that's supposed to protect your car / motorcycles or other possessions. They were very heavy however my husband and I managed to move them using a wheelbarrow - wasn't easy but it can be done.
Instructions were ok, they attempted to be very thorough with pictures as well as in writing. There are alot of metal pieces, some look very close to others. We started by opening all the boxes, sorting the hardware, metal and panels into piles. We used the cardboard to write next to the parts what part letter/number they were so it was easy to see when we started assembly. Some of the screws were a bit challenging to sort through but after a slow start progress picked up once we became familiar with them.
Recommend minimum 3 people - one person to read instructions and guide and two people to hold and assemble pieces. We ended up having more help than we needed so it went really fast.
You definitely want to put some effort into prepping the ground/area where it is going to go - we brought in several yards of minus, used the neighbors laser level and rented a packer. We spent two weekends getting the area ready and 1 day putting the shed together.
All the panels were easy to put together and the material is great. Lot of windows and skylights, it's very bright in the shed we don't even need a flashlight unless it's pitch black outside. I agree with the other reviewer that the roof is the key part of installation - the rafters are wobbly and we pinched a few fingers but once we got the first few solid roof panels up it was stable pretty fast. the trusses do act as the 'gutters' and we've had no problems. The doors are the most difficult assembly, we made a mistake and had to go back take a piece out and start again - that probably took longer than putting all the wall panels up and half the roof on. Everything works great, doors, windows, water tight. overall we are very happy with the shed.
The shed has been up over 7 months, we live where we get a fair amount of rain, heavy winds through the winter that destroy whatever is in it's path - will blow your car off the road if you don't have both hands on the wheel, shingles off houses, huge trees down - and the shed has stood firm (did I mention we did not anchor it with anything, it's sitting on a pad - no stakes, etc.) There are no leaks or rodents (squirrels) in it.
We would not hesitate to buy another one from this supplier. Thank you Costco."

good value

Pros: looks great assembled
Cons: screws and instructions are difficult to work with
Model Number: 11x21 shed garage
"first there are six large boxes that need a place when delivered..too heavy for most people to carry. Deliveryman will not take to back yard or anywhere where grass or dirt..need pavement for handcart.
Instructions came in English and a set in German..interesting. the weekend for install was too short--2 of us spent 3 full days, partly because parts and instructions were not clear. screws were not fully itentified, and there are lots of screws. It needs a smooth solid foundation to assemble best. The building became solid when the roof went on. We live where there is some wind..walls are vulnerable until trusses are up, and then it could still come down until the roof is on. There is lots of windows and 2 skylights that let plenty of light in..We did not get s 4 smaller skylights mentioned in the description. Main door in the trifold doors has no adjustment, and mine sticks. not sure what to do to remedy this. I am interested in seeing how weather tight this unit is, as the roof does not overlap as the smaller sheds do. It is meant to leak into the trough of the metal truss that extends outside the edge of the walls. The doors took the longest to assemble, mainly due to the instuctions, which again were lacking clairity. The value looks good for the cost.
