Before placing an order for Standard Delivery, you must call Universal Casket Company directly at 866-458-2800, or your order will not process. (This customer service number is staffed by qualified representatives who will be able to answer any product, shipping and delivery questions.) Standard Delivery orders must be placed by 11 a.m. Eastern Time. A casket ordered for standard delivery will arrive by 5 p.m. (your local time) within three business days (Monday –Friday, excluding holidays). For example: if an order is placed on Monday by 11 a.m. EST, the casket will be delivered on Wednesday by 5 p.m. (your local time); however, if the order is placed on Monday at 11:01 a.m., EST, the casket will deliver by Thursday. Standard delivery times may vary in certain areas.
It is the purchaser's responsibility to notify the funeral home of your order within 1 business day.
Currently, caskets can only be purchased from and shipped to addresses in the following states:
Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Your bill to and ship to addresses must both be in the list of states above for your order to be valid.

EXCELLENT QUALITY
Pros: quality, price, customer service, shipping
"Purchased this casket on Tuesday after 12pm. Received a call later in the evening stating it would arrive at the funeral home by the latest Friday 4pm. To our surprise the casket was there by Wednesday. The funeral director stated that it appeared to be better quality than what they offered (who is more of a expert than I). In my opinion I think it was of excellent quality. If and when I have to plan another funeral I will be purchasing from here again."

Very satisfied
Pros: a very hight quality product, saved a significant amount of money

"This casket was nicer than I imagined it would be. It seemed VERY high quality and I was very happy with the customer service. It was also delivered EARLIER than promised, which was good since we had a very tight schedule that required a rush deluivery. Our casket was ordered at 8:00 AM for a funeral the following afternoon at 5:00 PM. The person I placed the order with assured me it would be delivered by noon the next day, which was a little tight and did not allow for any delays. Fortunately it actually arrived 4 hours earlier than promised, which was great. Our funeral director did point out the following concerns, which I thought were valid. What did we want to do if the casket came damaged? Or what would happen if the wrong one was shipped? There would be no time to order a new one. Also, he requested I verify in person that the casket was acceptable, which required me to make an extra trip to the funeral home. Fortunately, the order was handled flawlessly, but if the shipment had been delayed due to weather or traffic, we would have had a big problem. I would absolutely do this again, but I am not sure I would for a next day funeral. If you are going to do this, make sure your schedule allows for enough time to address any problems that might happen. Also, my funeral director told me that they needed to have the casket a minimum of 5 hours before the funeral to allow enough time to prepare, which was a little longer than the salespersons estimate of 3 hours. Outside of these concerns I would recommend doing this to anyone that doesn't mind putting in a little extra effort to save a significant amount of money."

"The Dayton Solid Wood Casket arrived well ahead of the promised Standard Shipping delivery date and time. The exterior glossy finish shows the medium tone oak grain nicely. Both half lids are upholstered inside and fitted with good hinges and latch. This is a sturdy and well made casket that came shrink wrapped. Interior upholstery although not deluxe met the approval of all the family."

"I was impressed with customer service in assuring the product arrived in time. The oak casket was beautiful and good quality. I always feel comfortable with Costco's high standard standing behind the company. I felt like it was a good decision and over all saved around $1100.00."

Very Pleased
Pros: beautiful, nice features, reasonably priced
"When Mom died last month, we wanted to say good bye in the most special and respectful way possible. Mom always had a love of fine wood furniture, but the caskets available at the funeral home were, while lovely, extremely expensive. I couldn't help but feel like I was being a bit ripped off. I was shocked when I looked at the Costco caskets. They had virtually the same features for almost $5000 less.
The representative from Universal called the evening I ordered it and was so kind, pleasant and supportive. We were very pleased with the purchase. The color of the wood was lighter, more natural than in the picture, but it was not a problem at all."

Excellent all around
Pros: the company was and absolute pleasure to work with, the woman we dealt with was a funeral director., she was more compassionate than our f.director.
Cons: absolutely none.

"Our mom passed away on a weekend and the viewing was scheduled for 2pm on the following Tuesday. We had a very tight schedule to work with for all the arrangements due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. After making funeral plans with the director I told him we would like to supply our own casket and he expressed his concerns ( late delivery, damage, etc.). We assured him as we had picked out one of his caskets just in case.
Called Universal first thing Monday a.m. and they checked to see what was in their warehouse near us (major metro area) and got back to us immediately. The casket was delivered before 10am the next morning.
Our funeral director was very surprised and also commented how nice the casket was.
The casket exceeded our expectations and was extraordinarily beautiful in craftsmanship, wood, interior, brass and handles, and very rich looking. We had originally picked out a $3000 casket at the funeral home. It was not bad, kind of dull and plain, and the least expensive wooden casket they had. Most were $5k and up.
Our mother would have been pleased with what we did and it amazed us that we had compliments on the casket from people who attended.
Thank you to all who assisted us at Universal. You exceeded our expectations and we will (and already have) highly recommend you."
