Nice Toy

Cons: not weatherproof
"Definitely a strong main lamp but overall construction and components seem cheap.
Battery level led's are always on and always shining down onto your glasses or eyes.
Much better deals out there!

Great Headlamp

Pros: great buy for the price
Cons: none
"Comfortable fit. Easy to change the batteries. The adjustment strap has a built in "key" to twist off the end-cap. The battery cartridge then slides right out. You might need to give it a slight shake. No screwdriver needed. The lights are very bright. I only noticed the glare from the battery indicator LED if I had the lamp low on my brow. I like to wear it up higher and it did not bother me."

One design flaw, otherwise OK

Pros: good for the price
Cons: battery-level leds shine in eyes
"Bright light; uses XR C LED from Cree. One annoying design flaw - The battery-level indicator LEDs (3) are positioned above the user's eyes and are distracting and will shine onto eyeglasses. Unit cannot be reversed to avoid this. Had to cover these with tape to block. Otherwise, a decent unit for the money. Battery insertion is easy and does not require mini-philips screwdriver - review by "Faithful" is incorrect."

Needs a Little Work

Cons: difficult to insert batteries
"I'm not sure if this works well or not. I didn't get to have that experience. Instructions do not state how to insert batteries, but with a little patience and persistence, you'll figure it out. Once you find out where the batteries are to be installed, you have to get them inserted. The screws are so tiny (it requires a tiny philips type screw driver). Two of the screws loosened, the last (there are 3) was pretty much stripped and couldn't be removed. I would not recommend buying this one."

Life saver!

Pros: bright, comfortable, feels sturdy
"Went on a camping trip with lots of flash lights but most of the time only used this one. Very convenient and easy to use. High setting is very bright but it works as a spot light. I was able to keep my hands free and that really helped because it rained non stop during the trip!"

Bright enough to read!

Pros: bright light
"Great product. White light is nice and bright and it's great to be able to change the angle. Will have to try the redlight for night vision next time we camp."

Excellent Value

Pros: 85 lumens!!!, very comfortable adjustable headband, easily tilts, lightweigt, includes batteries, has o ring to keep moisture away from batteries
Cons: none yet
Model Number: 510830
"Having shopped around extensively for a quality headlamp, I found most comparable products to be pretty cheaply made. You really get what you pay for with the Coleman Axis. You'll pay $double or more for similar headlamps."
