Worst Product Ever Bought

Pros: looks nice as a end table
Cons: piece of junk
Model Number: N'finity 50
"I bought the Wine Enthusiast N'finity 50 bottle wine cellar 18 months ago, after 16 months the unit went out. I called Wine Enthusiast customer service to see about getting a phone number for a local authorized service Rep. to come repair, but there wasn't any. Customer service offered to sell me another unit for $500-, I was in total shock, just what I want to do, spend more money on another wine cellar that most likely will not last! This was the most expensive piece of equipment I ever bought that was total junk after 16 months. The wine cellar should have lasted for years. Would not recomend this unit nor any other Wine Enthusiast Appliance."

Problems with cooler

Pros: attractive nice soft lighting, held temps fairly well when it was working
Cons: a little louder than i expected, didn't last very long - less than 13 months, short warranty period - 90 days parts & labor
"This was a great wine cooler for 12 1/2 months, then over a 3 day period it quit cooling. The fans ran frequently but the unit never chilled below the room temp. The Wine Enthusiast customer service folks tried to be helpful - offered to cover the parts even though it was out of warranty - but the service company they recommended in my area originally told me they'd come to my house between 5:00 and 6:00, then told me 7:00-8:00, then told me probably the next day and would call to confirm a time w/i 30 minutes and I never heard from them again. In the end it seemed easier to return to Costco, a very easy task (thanks Costco) and go buy a different unit"

Three Strikes You're Out!

Pros: none
Cons: doesn't keep wine cool
"I purchased this wine fridger about a year ago. In the first 2 months the unit stopped cooling. I called customer service at the Wine Enthusiast and they sent me a new fridge. After 2 months this unit also stopped cooling. I again called customer service and they replaced the fridge. The 3rd one lasted about 4 months and then also failed. I have made repeated calls to customer service that have gone unanswered. When I finally did get thru I asked to have my money refunded. They told me it had been too long since my purchase and I would need to speak with a manager. When I asked to be connected to a manager they told me the only way I could contact them was via email. I was not at all happy with that response but went ahead and sent an email. It has been about 6 weeks now and I have gotten absolutely no response.
My advice is to save your money and purchase a quality wine fridge to begin with . I am now out the purchase price of something that never really worked after 3 replacements and purchased it from a company that doesn't seem to care if their customers are happy or not.
I did try to post a review on the Wine Enthusiast website but surprise surprise - they never posted it!
If I had made my original purchase thru Costco I know they would have made things right. This model was not in stock at Costco when I placed my original order."

Nice unit

Pros: reliable, holds large format bottles, good looking
Cons: noisy
"I have had my N'finity 50 for almost 2 years at this point. I keep it full most of the time (>40bottles) and have had no temperature fluctuation problems or compressor problems. I periodically check the temperature with an instant read thermometer and it is always within 3 degrees of the set point. It is heavy and a little noisy would be my only complaint at this time. Not so much of a problem now that I keep it in the basement."

Nice but ours was short lived

"Nice wine frig but ours was fairly noisy and made a high pitched sound when the compressor was running. Stopped working completely after 18 months. The noise might have been an indication that ours was just defective, so had it not gone up, I'd have given it a higher rating."

"Delivery was on time and very professional staff. It looks good and pull out shelves working easily and well. It is very loud and it runs frequently. There are few problems in design and manufacturing. It is built 1 to 1.5 inch higher than standard size to properly fit under cabinet. The dual zone is the main issue that makes it run constantly. there is really no need to have two zone temperature, red wine should be drinking at room temperature anyway, any temperature between 50-60 for storing purpose is just fine along with white wines"

Do not recommend due to malfunctions

Model Number: 273 01 50 03
"In October 2010, I ordered 6 Wine Enthusiast N’Finity 50 bottle wine coolers from Costco when my wine storage room was built. To make a long story short, 4 of the wine coolers have malfunctioned. The first one less than a year from installation and wine enthusiast replaced it but I paid for the shipping. Within the last half year, 3 more have malfunctioned: 2 have a small leak in the coolant system and 1 has had the compressor go out. I had an independent refrigeration company come out to diagnose the issues and to assure that the professional installation was OK. The installation was fine and the malfunctioning issues were independent and different for the 3 malfunctioning wine coolers. The refrigeration repair service added coolant to the other 2 wine coolers but said that they would most likely fail again due to a small leak somewhere in the system."

Not reliable

Pros: attractive
Cons: noisy; not reliable
Model Number: 50 bottles, two temps.
"Just short of a year, we turned it off for a quiet dinner. Thermostat now will not go below 60. Not sure how to return to costco (It's 113 pounds!) and whether will replace with same model."

Not so sure I like this one....

"Have had it just about a year...
Delivery was great and it looks great! Like the setup and looks pretty high tech. But the temps can't seem to hold within 5 degrees and it runs way more than it should considering it's full all the time (lots of thermal mass..) Now after only a year it's quit altogether....
I think I'll be replacing it with a differenct model."

adequate

Model Number: 273 01 50
"Seems to run all the time. Can't wait to get my electric bill. Noise is more than large refrigerator. It is handsome and the shelves roll smoothly. Excellent delivery people and on time."

Good little cooler

"I agree with last reviewer. I'm waiting for this to go on sale so I can buy another one. It is quiet, the wooden shelves slide well and do not ruin the wine labels, and it keeps accurate temperatures. (I've learned there will be slight fluctuations in temperature, but this would be true with any refrigerator). I've had this for 4 months now."

GREAT UNIT

Pros: quiet, retains temp
"I've had this unit for about six months. Love the pull out racks and the subtlely of the black door. It's quiet and works great. I'm waiting for them to go on sale so I can ordered a second unit."

Great Purchase

Model Number: 273 01 50
"Received wine cooler without any hitches. Fits perfectly where my old one was. Very attractive and much more convenient with pull out drawers. Quiet running."

erratic performance

Pros: looks good
Cons: performs poorly
"We've had this for six months.
The fit-and-finish of this wine fridge is very nice: smoked glass door, nice wood shelves that roll smoothly, and a cool blue LED light.
However, it has not performed well. Almost every time we open it to get bottle of wine - a 30 second exposure to the room air? - the internal temperature shoots up into the 60s and it takes two days to go back to upper 40s/lower 50s. It might be that our particular unit is defective so we're returning it."
