Perfect for infants

Pros: size just right, folds up, handle for travel
"I bought this for my 5 month old to play on since we have hardwood floors throughout the house. This is thick and firm, perfect for tummy time and rolling around. Perfect size and folds up when company is over."

excellant choice !

Pros: simple to add additional pads
Cons: didn't find one yet
"The kids loved it upon opening. Velcro connections are simple and secure for setup and the colors are bright and the sections seem very durable. From the 6 year old to the eleven year old, they are using it everyday. Great find."

Fantastic

"Ordered 2 of these for our new basement. My 9 and 6 year old have not stopped playing on them since they arrived. They have not even brought them down to the basement yet. The quality is fantastic. We layered them last night and my daughter slept on them in my sons room:) perfect for gymnastics, sleepovers, martial arts..."

A life saver

Pros: easy clean-up, durable, soft, well-made
Cons: wish both sides were color
"This mat is just what the doctor ordered for our two-year-old's bedroom floor. He's just in a toddler bed, and we worried for nights that he'd roll out of bed and hurt himself so we were looking for a soft spot for him to land. This tumbling mat aligned perfectly under the edge of his bed, and he loves it. That's where we sit when we have Daddy Time: Reading books, playing cars, drinking our warm milk (okay, mine's coffee), even changing middle-of-the-night-diapers-that-wake-him. He also likes to fake fall on it, and on occasion, hide under it (the lump is quite noticeable but don't tell him that). We're getting a pair for the basement tool."

Excellent "piece of mind" purchase

"This is my second purchase of these mats from Costco. I purchased 3 initially as a gift for my daughter to use in the playroom in her house when my grandson was 8 months old and beginning to really experiment with his surroundings and showed no fear. These mats are of excellent quality and thickness and the velcro adhesion allows configuring them in different shapes, depending on the need. Now that my grandson is 18 months old, he is extremely active and climbing on EVERYTHING. I have created a separate playroom in my house for him and put 4 of these mats together so that when he climbs on a riding toy or slides or tries to walk down or climb up the plastic indoor slide, he will remain injury free. My wife and daughter are very pleased with the quality of these mats and I hope to use them for additional grandchildren.(Hint! Hint!)"

light duty use only

Pros: cheap
Cons: cheap
"Do not confusion this with those blue mats they use in schools and gyms. The padding is not even close.
The density of the padding is so soft as to be unusable except for perhaps babies to crawl on.
Highly recommend you bite the bullet and pay the $200 or so for the pro mats. $60 isn't a bargain if you can't use it for anything."

Durable for multiple uses

"I purchased this mat so my 7 year old daughter would stop attempting handstands in her cramped bedroom. The mat does require some space but it's been great to see her practice her cartwheels, hand stands and head stands in the living room. Her 3 year old brother enjoys practicing his pencil rolls too.
It also helps serve as a good place to put my infant while I'm doing the dishes. It's thick so I could put her on her boppy and have her sit or lay back knowing she would roll onto a safe, wipeable surface. We still use it now that she's sitting.
Sometimes I move it to the den and all the kids have a nice place to put some pillows and blankets down and enjoy a show or movie.
I tried it for yoga and it's not a good use for this since the fabric does have grip and doesn't allow the poses to be fluid."

Not bad for the price but would not buy again

Pros: reasonable price
Cons: bad quality
"I ordered four of these tumbling mat for my daughter to play in our living room (we have wood floor and she loves to jump and hurt herself). The cushion is WAYYYY TOO SOFT. I was expecting more firm cushion... somewhat like firm memory foam but the mat is really soft. (you sink to the floor as you walk on it). Also, if you are running around with bare foot, the material sticks to the feet and makes really loud noise. I am keeping two of the four and returning the other two. I am planning on buying other play foam mats that may be more expensive but better quality."

not just for kids

"We bought this mat to put on our garage floor when the adults in our home are using the "TRX" exercise system. The mat is thick and sturdy so that when exercising, the body is protected by the padding of the mat. We are pleased to have found something that can be folded up and stored after each use. The mat is well constructed."
