"I had hip replacement surgery last month and had ordered another brand when I saw this one. My nurse pointed out that the legs with the holes and pins can slip out. LOOK at the way these legs adjust from the bottom independently giving an evenly balanced and secure bench. The first time I used it I was nervous, but found out immediatly I felt completley safe. Construction is solid and non slip."

When it arrived my brother-in-law was the person to assemble it. He reported it went together easily.
All of us are impressed by the quality: both design and material. It feels safe and solid, not one bit wobbly.
My main focus was to provide stability and make bathing safer for my father.
He likes it; so does my mother who is also using it.

Works Just Like It Should
Pros: easy to assemble., legs can be adjusted easily for the proper height.
"I bought this for my elderly sister who had recently come to my home after a stay at the hospital. She did not have the strength to stand up in the shower and did not want any help from me. With this chair, she has been able to get in, shower, and get out on her own."

Carex Transfer Bench
"First one we received for my 87 year old Mom was damaged in shipment. Returned to Costco store and immediately ordered another because the same sturdy chair was $121 on other websites. This is quite a deal and is strudy and exactly what we needed to get my mother in the tub. Also when I reorder it was on sale so an added bonus! Not flimsy and a great buy. High quality materials."

"We bought this for use in the walk-in shower and decided on this model for it's bigger size to accommodate bottles of shampoo, soap, etc. It is very well made and incredible sturdy and that it just snaps together would make it easy for anyone to assemble. They rate it at 400lbs. but it feels sturdy enough to support a small car !"
