Quality not consistent
Pros: i like ordering coffee online from costco but, will definitely try a different offering next time
"I have been buying and enjoying this product for at least two years but I was very disappointed with my last order. I don't know if they were not fresh when they shipped but there there was no flavor to them."

excellent coffee

"This is by far the best store bought coffee I have tasted the flavor is well balanced and not too strong. It does not have a bitter or acidic taste to it at all. I love it but if you are the type of person who likes a strong dark roast this may not be for you. I find the flavor is that of a medium roast which is perfect for me but not for someone who likes a strong dark roast. The price is reasonable and the shipping was fast I received my order 2 days after it was placed very happy"

Good Smooth Coffee
"I've been drinking this Jamaica Blue Mtn Blend for a few months now and just can't bring myself to rate it among the top, compared to other well known smooth, medium roast coffees that I also keep at the kitchen table. In a nut shell, this coffee is good but not "earth-shattering" good as some of the reviewers have raved. I guess it's to each his own and a lot depends on the individual taste. I keep going back and forth between the Jamaican Blue Mountain and my other favorites to see if I can change my mind but I can't. Besides, its price is not competitive compared with its rivals."

Great Coffee
"This product is really good. My office couldn't live without it. Our coffee machine grinds the beans per individual cup, I know we're spoiled her, and let me tell you going back to grocery store coffee is torture. Try it, yu wont be sorry."

Great everyday coffee

Great coffee

"It's a smooth drinking coffee with a mild roast (to me). I haven't had any bitter after taste and for a blend it tastes a lot like the 100% Blue Mountain."

Enjoy this coffee very much
Pros: smell great smooth and nice after taste
"Saw the high review and give it a try with 100% Blue MT bean which I yet to try and waiting for X'max morning to open. I tried this Blue MT blend and I'm sold!! It smells great, tastes smooth, no over cooked bitter at all and great after taste in the mouth. I use it on my semi-auto espresso machine and grind it when I'm ready to drink. This coffee is on the lighter side so sometime I will add a little dark roast bean to heavy it up a little. Great find and my whole family loves it."

My favorite coffee!
"I've been buying this coffee for probably more than 7 years. It is still my favorite coffee by far. In fact, I get grumpy if I don't get my cup of blue mountain blend in the morning.
For those worried about this not being 100% blue mountain beans, don't. I actually tried the Magnum 100% blue mountain coffee which was far more expensive, and I still prefer the blend.
I get complements on this coffee all the time. People who have no idea what kind of coffee they are being served commonly say... "Good coffee!"
Great coffee! It will be a very sad day if costco ever stops carrying this blend."

"I'll just add on to what others have already said. This is analogous to a fine, complex and bright pinot noir. The coffee has one of the best flavors I've ever tasted and I'm a confirmed coffee-holic snob.
This is not the bitter, dark thick French Roast from the popular makers. For me, a spot of cream and sugar makes the perfect opening to the morning."

Great price
"I love Blue Mountain coffee and this blend comes close to the 100% blue mountain. Just use a little more beans than "normal" and it taste great! Smooth clean taste with no bitterness. If you like your coffee strong, bold and bitter, better look for something else :)"

Great Coffee
"100% pure Jamaican Blue Coffee is some of the best coffee in the world and is priced as such, about $35.00 - $45.00 a pound. This is a blend of Jamaican Blue and other coffees that gives you close to the same flavor at a reasonable price.
For those that have never tasted Jamaican Blue, it is a light delicate coffee with lots of subtle flavors and plenty of layers. It is a mild , light roasted coffee that is extremely smooth with no bitter taste.
If you only like French Roast, Starbuck's style - dark roast - west coast roast coffee, you probably will not enjoy this coffee. It will probably taste weak and washed out to you. To help explain here is a metaphor: If Jamaican Blue was a red wine, if would be a light, complex, very smooth extremely expensive Pinot Noir, and those that do not like it would be expecting a very bold, strong fruit forward Cabernet Sauvignon with loads of sharp tannins.
I hope this helps you to understand what this coffee is. It is my favorite and if you know what to expect, I think it will be one of your favorites as well."

Love this Coffee
"We have tried several different types of coffees from Starbucks, Specs, Whole Foods, World Market, etc...so far this coffee is by far our favorite.
It took a couple of pots for us to find the best ratio of grounds to water (more than we usually use but makes for a richer flavor) and we use a finer grind as well - almost espresso. The flavor is far and above most coffees we have tried. Ordering our second order today."

Totally Smooth!!!
Pros: costco.com has the best price!
Cons: it's not available at costco stores
"I have been totally enjoying this coffee for over 5 years. It's virtually the only coffee I drink. I always use cold filtered water, use 1 level Tbsp (15 Grams) for every 6 oz. of water, and always grind the beans just before I brew. My other trick is that I use a small 4-cup cone filter coffee maker. I am never disappointed. It's the only way to start my day. Whenever I serve it to guests, I use a basic Mr. Coffee 12 cup coffee brewer, and it comes out just as great. My guests are always impressed. When I tell them I pay less than $9.00 per pound, they don't believe it. When I tell them I get it at Costco.com, they are even more shocked."

Be careful of reviews because your taste is unique
"I wrote this title because we bought this coffee after reading the raving reviews. Bottom line for my wife and I - yes, this is good quality coffee, but for us it tasted flat. When you look at the beans, yes they are good quality. I'm not an expert, but I believe what we didn't like was how they were roasted. If you look at the beans, they do not have that oily/shiny look. If you know what I'm talking about and you like coffee like that , you might enjoy this. We did not, so we took it back. Months back we bought some Dunking Donuts coffee that also got raving reviews, but we had the same experience. So it depends on YOUR taste. It doesn't mean it's a bad product. For us, we will stick with the Ruta Maya Organic. If you like the "Starbucks type" coffee, Ruta Maya is worth trying."

Excellent Coffee

"I have tried almost all types of coffees, and followed youtube's Alton Brown "Trew Brew" episodes, and can say this coffee is truly EXCELLENT. I have not found anything better (even for higher prices). TIPS FOR GREAT COFFEE to remember to keep coffee in a vacume container after opening coffee bag; Use coffee from room temperature storage; Use filtered water; Store coffee for long term in freezer; Using more coffee per cup results in better flavored coffee."

Cons: not that great!
"I bought this coffee because it got a lot of reviews and many of them very good. I did not have that experience, however and thought it tasted sort of week and diner-ish... I ground it very fine and used it in my espresso machine but thought it weak and not that flavorful... I am going back to the Camano Island Sumatra Dark which, to me, is richer, thicker and more flavorful"
