100Watts worked for 1 hour, and is dead

"Used the 100watts converter for an hour. Next day, its dead, dont work anymore. Going back to costco. Will give the benefit of doubt, buy another piece."

longevity problem

"I bought one of these but the AC outlet stopped working after only about ten road trip uses. The unit was loud with the little fan running and it still heated way up even when we made sure it had proper ventilation. The USB has always worked. I am very hesitant to purchase another one...."

O.K. for price
"Had to make a longer cigarette lighter cord, pretty easy. Have only used the 400 watt for a short time, but it seems to work O.K. I think the fan only runs when needed, unlike others I've have had that are continuous. Haven't used the 100 watt yet."

Absolutely worth the $

"The PB 400 looks good, I've been using it for almost two weeks on a daily basis without any faults. As for the PB100, it;s just so small you can even put in in your pockets. Seems the USB ports does not charge devices at a fair rate."

Works well, but not at full Wattage
Pros: fits into car outlet, 400 w model is silent with under 100w load, price is right
Cons: 100w model smells bad, fan is loud and annoying, can't output wattage advertised, modified sine wave

"100W Inverter-
Tried this with 90W Laptop. Everything went ok for few mins. Then the inverter's fan turned on and it started to smell really bad like ozone. Unplugged inverter and allowed to cool per instructions for 15 min. Plugged back in, inverter kept flashing red and turned off, even when connected to less than 5W mp3 player to charge it.
The next day I tried it with a 65W laptop. It kept working, but the fan is very annoying and it did smell bad for the first 15min that the fan was on.
I don't recommend buying this unless you plan to use it with something that draws 65W or less. I didn't really expect it to power the 90W laptop, because inverters are almost always rated for more than they can handle, but it was still disappointing.

I wish it had a standard automotive blade type fuse as those are easier to replace, and harder to break. With an under 100W load, the fan doesn't come on and this is almost silent."

"Went to scout a Lax game we I realized the camera battery was dead. The 50 min car ride with the battery charger plugged into the 100 Watt Power Inverter was enough to get the entire game. I haven’t used the 400 Watt inverter yet."

"I was actually looking for a second 100 watt inverter when I came across the combo pack now offered by Costco. Both are excellent inverters. I only wish the 100 watt unit (which is smaller than the previous model) had the cigarette lighter "pass through" adapter so I still have a usable "lighter socket" available in my car when I plug the inverter into the dashboard lighter socket."

"No Star - I put one star only because it is required. NONE of inverters fits my car chargers. I tried them on both my 2004 Toyota Mitrix & 2004 Volvo. Not only they didn't fit any of my 4 chargers, it killed one of my Toyota charger port after too many times of trying. I am sure Costo buyer didn't try them on cars in this country first before importing item."
