Love it!

Pros: produces lots of juice
"Great juicer, we love juicing with it!
People complain about juicing vegetables with it...what are you only juicing kale! Kale will not give you a lot of juice.
This juicer is great, easy to clean and juices just about anything. Except avocado, papaya and bananas; which is obvious as they turn into a paste."

Returned twice

Pros: easy to clean
Cons: ruggedness
"For the most part we like the juicer. But we returned 2 machines since there is a piece made of soft plastic on the drip bar that broke on both machines. This piece is to plug the juice from dripping while you change cups while making juice. This piece has to be removed in order to clean it and it can break easily."

Returned next day to Costco

Pros: none
Cons: weak motor
"I had to replace my old juicer. When I've seen good reviews about this product, I've bought it. Got one pineapple from Costco to try the juicer.
The problem is, that the motor of this juicer is weak, not strong enough to push juice through the strainer. Pineapple fibers clogged the strainer, most of the juice landed in the pulp container. Returned next day to Costco...
Bought a Hurom in Costco, that works fine.

Amazing

Pros: great juice and durable.
"I use this juicer every single day, 1-2 liters of juice and it is amazing. I've had it for almost a year. The chute is a good size. I rarely have to cut apples or oranges so that they fit in. The clean up is not difficult for a juicer. Keep in mind whenever you cook, you have pots, pans, dishes and utensils, so it's really not that much work. Don't be lazy about good health."

I wanted to like it...but I didn't!

Pros: delicious juice but...
Cons: you have to buy lots of produce, too much waste, too many parts to dis/re-assemble for cleaning, takes up a lot of room on your counter.
"I'm new to juicing and while the machine does what it should, I don't like having to buy so much produce and wasting all the roughage. It's also hard to determine how much produce you need for a serving. The juice does taste delicious but it's just not worth all the waste. Sure you can save the pulp and do other things with it, like the recipe book mentions, but that would just be a hassle. Also the cleaning of the machine is just too much if you are juicing more than once a day. The cleaning brush that comes with it is worthless, luckily my cleaning brush from elsewhere is shaped better to get into every crevice as needed. You have to separate and clean 6 components every time you use it. If you don't clean it right away you will have a job cleaning all the bits off. As much as I enjoyed the tasty juice, I decided to return this unit and buy the NUTRIBULLET. No waste (all the fiber goes in your tummy, not the trash), less produce to buy, you can juice by the serving, add liquids and other items not allowed in this "juicer" and clean-up is a breeze. I wish Costco carried the Nutribullet, it really is a superior product."

Disappointed

Pros: looks good, quiet, reasonably easy to clean
Cons: poor juice extraction
"I've got this 20 year old juicer that is yellowed, the strainer basket is dented and it has more or less seen better days. I figured now is a good time to replace it. I had high expectations for this one. Turns out that while it is okay, it doesn't do as good of a job as the beat up old work horse I have on my counter. Does really poorly on those challenging vegetables like spinich and brocolli. It pretty much just spits them out the back. I had to put in at least twice the produce I normally would and I still ended up with only 12 oz as opposed to 16 that I normally get with my old one. While it has some nice features I figure the added cost in produce is probably not worth it. I think this one is going back tomorrow and I'll just stick with old reliable for a bit longer."

Makes the best carrot juice ever!

Pros: makes amazing organic carrot juice, bigger than average inlet for whole fruits, looks very sharp and matches other stainless, appliances in my kitchen., juices both hard and soft fruits and veggies
Cons: i wish it had a bigger pulp container but i do, juice a lot at a time. i could probably hook up a, big bag.
Model Number: Jack LaLanne's Ultimate Power Juicer
"I never was a big fan of carrot juice before I bought this machine. I had a "Hamilton Beach" type of juicer that had a grinder that was a quarter of the size grinder that this juicer has. This machine is amazing.
This machine has me buying 20 pound bags of organic juice carrots. I'm sure people think I have secretly become a rabbit. I used to watch Jack LaLanne commercials when I was a kid but I had no idea that carrot juice could taste this good. Blends hard products and soft products very well. I make green juice with this as well and the stuff comes out great."

Awful with Vegetables

Pros: fruit good
Cons: vegetable terrible
"I decided to start juicing vegetables and it was terrible, the veggies just got spit out and hardly any juice was extracted. If all your interested in is fruit then I am in."

Does the job

Pros: quite machine. easy to clean.
"Wife and I wanted to get into juicing. Researched many juicers and was going to buy at $300 juicer. Went to a friends house and he had this juicer and recommended it. Since it was at Costco, I thought I didn't have much to lose if I didn't like it. This juicer gets the job done and is pretty quite. Have had it about two months now and we still like it. Not sure what an extra $200 gets you."

Yum, makes for great snacks and drinks

Pros: easy to disassemble fast quiet
Cons: carrot pulp exits out of a crack at chute
"We have had this for 90days+. We bought it in the store. I thought I might replace coffee with juice, not at this point.
I don't always clean it after each use. Apples have the worst smell after just a half day - carrots, pineapple, graps, etc are generally okay.
We buy in season fruit at lower prices as opposed to specific fruit.
I especially love 2.50 pineapple with Bombay sapphire gin. Not exactly what you think a juicer is for, but it is darn good.
Love and easy to clean. I wish the brush fit in more of the nooks and crannies."

So Far So Good

"Some who have a bad experience may not be using the juicer properly. I have had no problem. My pulp was reasonably dry. This is my 4th Juicer and it works as well as my most expensive Breville that I purchased at for $350.00 or so. I plan to get one for work and for my Mom."

Great Product Great Price

Pros: easy to use
Cons: i don't think the motor is powerful enough., it has a safty motor shut off if you push to hard., it shuts the maching for over ten minutes. to cool, i though it died.
"I honestly ate/drank more vegtables in the past week then in the who knows in how many months or even years, I'm not lying. I hate veggies since I'm a kid. I know how important vegtables are but I just can't stand it. I saw this juicer at my local Cosco and was thinking let me go home and google how to make juice and how it would taste. I put some celery, carrots, a small cucumber and a golden apple. It was great, I try to make one every morning before I leave the house. Be creative and add diferent healthy fruit and veggies to the mix. Kiwi, mango, cactus, apple pear, lemmons, oranges, etc...."

Motor burned out 2nd time out

Pros: relatively easy clean-up, easy assembly/disassembly, good results
Cons: motor burned out 2nd time
Model Number: Ultimate Power Juicer
"My wife and I purchased this recently. The first use went smoothly, we (meaning my wife) juiced pineapple, ginger and celery and it came out great, just like a smoothie at some health store. Clean up wasn't too bad, it was easy to follow the disassemble & assembly instructions in the manual. The next night we (she) tried it again and after juicing carrots without a hitch the motor died while doing apples. I hoped it was just a thermal over-load trip-out but it never came back on. I even cleaned it out and reassembled it & tried it the next day but it was still "kaput". The return at Costco was hassle-free as usual. We're now on the fence whether to try another one or not especially after reading the mixed reviews."

LOVE!!!

Pros: easy easy easy
Cons: none
Model Number: 673000 ultimate power juicer
"After visiting my son and experiencing juicing for the first time, I got on board. His juicer was a 'masticating' kind that produced very dry pulp and lots of juice. It also cost $250+.
I'm a cheapo so I thought I would try this, knowing I could return if I didn't like it. I fell in love instead.
While the pulp is a little wetter than my son's produced, it's still pretty dry. The juice is excellent. (Okay, well not the kale... I'm having a hard time developing a taste for that one.)
I've had no problems with leafy greens, vegetables, fruit or soft fruit. No clogging, no mess outside the juicer. GREAT PRODUCT.
If you're having problems with yours, please go back and read the instructions. I read them before juicing and I have had no problems.
Clean-up and reassembly are a breeze plus I compost the pulp for my greenhouse.
Juice ON!!!

Power Juicer

Pros: cutters are inexpensive to replace
"I looked at a number of alternatives, all way more expensive. All seemed to do the same thing so I bought the less expensive Ultimate Power Juicer. After more than a month of everday use, it has been great. It is easy take apart and clean and seems to be well made."
