Review 21 for Garmin Forerunner® 405 CX GPS-Enabled Sports Watch
Date:April 16, 2011
Best Heart Rate monitor I have owned.
Pros: tracks heart rate over distance, ability to set hr zones from the pc
Cons: bezel takes some getting used to
Model Number: 405CX
"I decided two weeks ago to buy the Garmin 405CX for my Calorie and Cardio point testing a Lifetime even with the bad reviews with the theory that even if the bezel turned out to be bad enough I could always return it before the 30 days were return policy expired.
I have used it for a run and several indoor workouts without issue. The connect.garmin.com is now the method I use to track all my workouts, distance, pace and calories burned. It makes things simple.
I am a MAC user and the ANT has worked flawlessly. The uploads to connect.garmin have also been flawless. Once synched it even automatically identified a firmware upgrade that my unit needed. Accomplished all wirelessly.
Battery Life: I have had no issues and have only charged it the initial overnight charge and one other time in the last two weeks. However since I have been inside most of the time I have had the GPS off."

Model Number: Black Walking Fit
"I was looking for a watch that would give me some activity feedback. How far did I walk today and how many calories did I burn. The Smart Health product is exactly what it claims to be the easiest to use monitor in the market. I now know my entire day's calorie burn (not just my activity period) and how far I have walked. BEST OF ALL, I didn't need to put a stride length in or set up any personal information. Just set the time and go. It is also fun to take my heart rate with a touch of a button."
