Great Product

Model Number: Not sure, just like one pictured above.
"This is our second Cuisinart Single Serve Brewing System and it has been improved from our first machine. This one is quieter. I researched the machine against other competitors and one of the reasons I went with a second Cuisinart is they supply coffee filters and the other main competitor does not. Great machine."

Best brewer yet

Pros: size option
Cons: none
Model Number: Model: SS-780PC / Keurig
"I bought one a year ago for work and love it. It is quieter than the other ones. Has more options on size and temp. I just bought 2 of these one for myself at home and one for my son."

Great machine - when it works

"I've had the same problem that other reviewers have mentioned. It's great while it works but over time will start brewing partial cups, even after descaling. I'm on my second Cuisinart (after 2 Keurigs). The only reason I keep getting them is that Costco's return policy is so great that I get a new one each time the old breaks down. Cuisinart offers a 3 year warranty, but you have to pay to ship the new one and ship the old one back on your dime, which is another $30ish."

Need to know if anyone has had this problem

"Loved this brewer, loved. All of a sudden it started tripping my GFCI plug. Tried it on a separate GFCI, same thing. Anyone else have this problem?"

Totally Satisfied

Pros: fast - makes great tasting coffee
Cons: none that i can think of
Model Number: SS-780PC
"I've used the Cuisinart Single Serve coffee maker for over a year and it has been problem free. Makes a great, fast cup of coffee and love the hot water feature for instant hot chocolate or soups. The choice of cup sizes is useful for altering the strength of brew. It also has a variable temp. adjustment - I keep mine set at 192 degrees."

So far so good

Pros: great coffee, many pod choices
Cons: none yet., reliability may be an issue reading other comments
Model Number: SS780-PC
"Makes consistently great coffee. I really like the variety of available K cup pods and the ability to change from one to another. Used to be a problem if one person wanted decaf and another regular coffee but not any more. Reading other reviews of this product made me a little worried about how long it will last. I've only had mine for a few weeks so we'll see.
I figure that, with Costco's customer satisfaction, Cuisinart's three year warranty, and the additional one year you get using an AmEx card, I should be covered if something does happen.

Great

"We've had this at our office now for 2 years... no true problems. You do have to "maintain" the machine, meaning every couple of months we descale it on a Friday and change the filter. We've never had any problems. Most people use tap water, and 85% of homes have "hard" water... we work downtown Seattle, so our water out of the tap is nasty. You just have to follow the directions, and it works great. I'd say we brew between 10-12 cups a day, so it gets a ton of use."

Not again!

Pros: great idea for a single cup.
Cons: they don't even last a year of usage.
Model Number: 528272
"I just had my second machine go bad on me. This time the water just keeps coming out when you turn it on. This is really a shame that the machine has had so many problems. I am taking this one back since I have only had it 8 months. I only make coffee on the weekends literally. I make 4 cups and rarely make any during the week. I cannot imagine the issues if i made coffee more often."

great purchase

Pros: the great coffee and the perfromance
Cons: none
Model Number: SS-780PC Cusinart
"I was afraid of buying this item because of the price and I was also concern if it would last. I had it over a year now and it still does a great job. I like that it also comes with a filter that I can use my own coffee too."

Cuisinart - too many problems

Pros: greating looking but doesn't last
Cons: stops brewing full cups water doesn't always come, out
Model Number: SS-780PC
"I loved this coffeemaker, the look and design of it. This was my 2nd one, the 1st one lasted 9mos. I decided to return it and buy another one thinking maybe the first one was a lemon. My second one only lasted 4mos. I returned it today again to Costco. They have the best return policy, no hassle. This was the last time I decided to try one last time and buy this model one more time. This time in two Costco stores in my area they no longer have it in the store and on line it is on back-order. I'm hoping that Cuisinart is finally listening to the consumers that are writing these reviews and looking into the problems we are all having with this coffeemaker. If you read many of these reviews it's funny we're all saying the same thing. I just want to add that before I returned my machine I took out the filter and filter holder. My coffeemaker seem to work better. Possibly it may be part of the problem. My first Keurig coffeemaker and earlier models never had filters. That one lasted me 7 years before it ever said to descale it. It still works after 8 years and I used good old-fashion tap water. To anyone out there who has this model try pulling out your filter attachment and see if your problem gets any better. I hope this helps."

Great Christmas gift - still using a year later!

Pros: various sizes of coffee, can do tea and cocoa too, comes with a re-usable k-cup
Cons: none really., have a couple travel mugs that won't fit.
Model Number: SS-780PC
"My husband got this for me almost a year ago last Christmas and we both use it daily, not just for coffee but also to make tea with. When family visits, I will easily 7-10 cups just in their one visit. Everyone loves it and loves that they can choose their own coffee. I have also found some great bold flavors, like San Francisco Fog Lifter and the French Roast, Starbucks Blonde, etc. I have learned to make a quick "espresso" using the machine too, you use the 4 oz or 6 oz option with Foglifter or other bold blend and then foam your milk mix and go! I love it and definitely recommend it."

Cuisinart coffee maker

Pros: complex and looks great, love costco., any crazy idea i get i check costco first
Cons: the coffee that came with it is not that great, if you make more than 8 oz good luck, sucker with more money that you need.
Model Number: Item #528272
"I got this because I am a computer geek that loves gagets(sp?). I have been making coffee for many years using a funnel type drip method. good method but the coffee is not that great."

Love the idea of it but too many issues.

Pros: love the idea and concept!
Cons: very pricey and doesn't last long!
"I really wanted a single serve cup to get that fresh cup of coffee each and every time. Didn't buy the Keurig because of the reviews saying there are lots of problems with it. Costco told us that a lot more of the Keurig's were returned and not as many of the Cuisinart mode so we bought it instead. Now this is not a cheap coffee maker so it should work for a few years. After 20 months it died. I had issues for a few months with air bubbles and then the pump went. The other issues, coffee isn't as hot as I would like gets cold quick. The coffee pods are very expensive. My husband and I love a good couple cups of coffee in the morning and more so on the weekends. This is great for a single person or household where only one person drinks coffee. Can get very expensive if you have a few cups every day. We went back to the coffee pot where the coffee is held in the top of the maker by Cuisinart. Much more condusive to our coffee drinking and budget."

The entire Keurig System is Expensive

Pros: hooked on this concept. convenient.
Cons: too expensive for the machine quality.
Model Number: Not Sure. One of the original models offered at Costco
"I have had the Cuisinart K-Cup System for about 2 years. We have been having problems for over a year. I have never tried to get it repaired nor have I tried to return it. This is a very expensive beverage system but the convenience is worth it if it would work properly. We have had various issues as follows: We have had water outflow issues....(either entirely too slow or the chosen cups size is not accurate).
I have tried the recommended cleaning tips.... (only works for a short time, i.e. one or two cups). We have tried purified water, and distilled as opposed to tap water...(it does not make a difference). I have changed the filter many times and it makes no difference.

In the end, more trouble than it's worth

Pros: really can't think of any pro's at this time
Cons: couldn't even last one year without being fixed, 2 machines break down in less than a year
Model Number: SS-780PC
"We have owned exactly one year. We are about to have it repaired or replaced for the 3rd time. The most common problems with K Cup machines is the pump. The pumps are not designed to last a long time unless you only make one cup of coffee a day. Our first one was replaced by Costco in week 2 because the pump went out. Now, we have to have it fixed or replaced again. While the concept is cool, the machine itself is a pain."

Pricy, but doesn't last!

Pros: three year warranty
Cons: doesn't outlast the competitors product
"I bought this unit to replace a Kuerig B70 unit last October. I had been through two Keurig units and was saddened that with moderate to heavy use, they didn't last more than a year before becoming unusable. I saw this one, and having multiple Cuisinart appliances that work well, I "upgraded" to this one. The three year warranty was the main deciding factor for me. However, here it is 11 days shy of one year, and my machine is leaking water from the back base of the unit all over my butcher block counter tops."

Better Machine than Keurig

"I have owned a Keurig machine for about 2 Years, and have gotten to the point where I needed a replacement.
As Keurig only warrantees their product line for 1 Year, they would no longer support my purchase (B70 Platinum).
This machine is warranteed for 3 Years, and both Cuisinart and Costco offer full support and exchange priviledges on this machine.
The design seems slightly better than the B70, and I hope to enjoy using this for years to come.

Great Replacement

Pros: built in storage for disposable coffee filter, descaling alert, water filtration process
Model Number: SS-700
"So far, so good. This item was purchased to replace a Keurig that worked fine for 7 months. I decided to give this one a try after reading several reviews. I have worked with Cuisinart appliances in the past and have been pleased with their performance and longevity."

Nice machine, but WEAK coffee

Pros: makes a hot cup of water for hot choc/tea., nice looking
Cons: makes a very weak cup of coffee unless it's a 4 oz, kind of large compared to my senseo.
Model Number: SS-700
"I've only had my machine for 6 days, but was not satisfied with the coffee that came with my unit. So, I went and bought my own coffee (organic, and organic decaf), and unfortunately, the coffee is still weak. I am used to my Senseo which delivers a frothy, hot, strong cup of Java, but unfortunately, the pods are getting harder to find in my local grocers, not to mention the fact, they do not offer organic coffee."
