Not a professional grade product

Pros: cheap way to get an entry level tripod
Cons: weak tripod construction
"Buy this only if you are looking for a mid-range product; this is by no means a professional grade solution.
The tripod is rated at 5lb max. Any DSLR with a typical semi-pro zoom (not the standard plastic kit lens) already weights that much without a flash. Try using a tele-photo (or add a flash to your camera) and the lens alone will exceed the tripod's maximum rating.
The carrying case is designed to match the same. It is very difficult (if not impossible) to re-arrange the internal compartments to fit one telephoto (like a fixed focal / fixed aperture lens) and the camera at the same time. If your arsenal consists of mostly wide angles, the case might offer a reasonable solution although from a style perspective I am not too fond of the red line going across the back of the bag.
The size of the included filter is a good indication of the manufacturer's intentions. I am not sure why they call it a professional product."

good purchase

Pros: solid tripod, back pack holds everything together, low price
Cons: uv filter is 58mm, camera shifts around in camera slot
"this is a very good deal for the price, the tripod itself is cost more then $50 in other store. the tripod is very solid, already worth the money you pay for. i got this kit because i have a Sony Alpha DSLR plus the kit lens and the 200mm zoom lens, and external flash. the back pack holds everything and there are rooms for more, in the futrue i get more gears i can place them in there.
my camera shifts around in the camera slot, my solution is place some bubble warp on the side, so it does not shift around..

Awesome product

Pros: .01% below perfect
Cons: padded part of strap could be better positioned
"Really well built. I have One full size SLR body with a18-200 mounted, one 70-300 one 100 macro, one 580EXII flash and a remote release stored in the main compartment. Then 4X4pack of AA batteries and two camera batteries in the outer compartment, then a heavily padded filter case, a Gary Fong mini flash diffuser and two memory cards in the upper compartment. The tripod squats down to about a foot and extends to about five and half feet. The tilt handle can be mounted left or right and rotates a few degrees for comfort. It's a true fluid head so works really smooth and well with camcorders. It's really light weight and compact. Each leg is independently adjustable.
I didn't know if I would like a sling bag and didn't what to pay LowePro or Tamrac prices so when I saw this at Costco and knowing their return policy I jumped on it.... Used it for a couple of weeks and discovered what a great piece of gear it is. It's fast! I also use it as a steady rest when rotated to the front. This is one of those products that make you think "how'd I do without it for so long". Truly AWESOME!"
