Excellent in a protien shake smoothy
Pros: great for shakes, not recommeded for pies
Cons: not recommeded for pies or baking.
"I decided to open my pain and try out some of the fruit. the bananas and apples are not slices but BB size bits.
Down side not good for making pies.
Upside, great for smoothies.

Pros: really good flavor, many uses
Cons: expensive, relatively small quantities
"If mad-money is no problem, or you fear a fruit famine, this product is a real treat. It's not practical for daily mass consumption; expensive, but versatile. I puree the dried fruit into powder and add to dressings, garnishes or smoothies; important to remove the little anti-moisture packet before dumping fruit into blender."

"I purchased this bucket of dried fruit one month ago.
When I open the first bag,I was disappointed. It was labeled as "blackberry",but inside they looked like raspberry to me,very red. On the nutritional fact,only vitamin C is listed. The rest of them were zero. I know if it really is blackberry or raspberry,at least there is some iron in it. Unless it was eliminated in the process of freezing to dry. I also want to respond to the way to serve it : I put in the cold milk and add a small amount of boxed cereal,because the boxed cereal is usually too sweet for me. Raspberry is sour in this bag,it makes my breakfast perfect(meaning just right on sweetness)"

worst purchase ever from Costco
Pros: it comes in a nice reusable bucket.
Cons: this product is overpriced for the poor quality.

"All the fruit tastes like cardboard! I was really disappointed in this product. It is definitely not up to Costco standards. Even re-hydrated, the blueberries tasted like dried sticks and grass. Yuck!"

"What I liked:
The long shelf life, easy to manage container, light weight.
Peaches are absolutely delicious, Bananas are excellent, Strawberries excellent, berries so so, and they don't add sugar.

What I didn't like:
The apples are absolutely worthless. They were cut up so small, little tiny tiny squares, that you can't even pick one up with your finger. Why they didn't cut it into slices like they did the peaches I do not know.

"I was skeptical about paying so much for fruit, but after having it for a couple weeks, it was definitely worth it. The fruit can go with just about anything. It tastes great as is or when reconstituted.
Im not sure if its quite 300 servings but I think it'll last a while."

"Very delicious fruit. We bought this to supplement the fruit in our diet since many fruits go bad so fast. We were pleasantly surprised that once opened the fruits stayed crisp. The package reseals very well.
We did not "reconstitute" any of the fruits. They were wonderful crunchy snacks just the way they arrived.
The one thing you need to take into consideration is that there is no way even reconstituted that there are 300 "servings" in there. Maybe 300 servings following some strict diet guidelines. As if the serving size is for toddlers"

put your tool belt on!), all six fruits are very
tasty. These are good for snacks and also
for emergency. Caution: don't wait to get
the pail open AFTER an emergency. You
may not be near a pair of heavy duty scissors or pliers when the hunger pangs begin. Since the fruit packets are hermetically sealed with life span of 20 years, I suggest getting that pail opened for easy and fast access when the need for food arises. I've eaten the fruit without hydration. Good. The berries hydrated with a little water were delicious over ice cream.
Enjoy some now and still have enough for emergencies 2 packs each of six different fruits. Enjoy"

"The product arrived quickly. Purchased this for long term storage, but wanted to test the product out since we will be buying more. The 2 pouches we opened (peaches and blueberries) were very good. Exellent in cereal or just as a crunchy fruit snack. May buy this product again, but am going to try a dehydrated vs. freeze dried bucket the next time."

"We have not opened this one yet, but have used others ordered thru Costco. Product is great and no differnce than fresh. My husband did not know it was freeze dried. A heads up for those who worry about the political turmoil and how it is damaging our economy. We purchase this product in preperation of food being hard to get, or no affordable. any disaster is a reason to have long term food storage on hand."

"This food is meant to be re-hydrated before eating. However, I've just been eating handfuls right out of the bags. They freeze dry RAW fruit so it is unbelievably good.
Going to order a bunch more, although I'm not crazy about the raspberries. Probably because I'm not that crazy about fresh ones either.
Two Mylar bags of each variety of fruit with a moisture inhibitor so after you open the package you should eat the contents in some reasonable amount of time (thinking weeks, not months). But that won't be a problem when backpacking with this because I won't be able to stop eating them anyway. Except for the raspberries."
