Very clean outcome, slight design flaw -IMHO

Pros: simple to do, good video instructions
Cons: missing key step to look for cross stud, cable channel hole should be up not down
Model Number: Datacomm Flat Panel TV Cable Organizer Kit w/ Power Solution
"Very clean outcome, good instructions (Video is the best to follow honestly). AFTER your determine your height and draw in pencil the outline of the top spot where you will cut the hole in the wall - take your stud finder and make sure there isn't a crossing stud - they didn't point this out. Once you have a clear path it is a neat design and easy process (if you have the saw). One thing I didn't care for, the bottom cable channel has the hole pointing downwards and in my opinion should be upwards to allow for more free cable movement - especially if your wall mount can be moved away from the wall. Otherwise I have a clean install - my brother said "Wow you did this? Looks like a professional did this?" BTW he's the handyman not me."

Great Product

Pros: easy to install
Cons: hole template needs to be smaller
"This product is easy to install. Just remember to cut holes little smaller than the vendor provided template."

Love It, but had to modify

Pros: enough room for reception cable gaming consoles, no electrician needed, doesn't violate hoa rules
Cons: had to modify for tv power cord
Model Number: Datacomm flat panel with power solution
"I held off purchasing a television for over the fireplace because I did not want to hire an electrician to bring power line up and over a built-in gas fireplace kit. When I saw this kit, I knew I could complete the project with a little help from Dad. We had to modify the female end (cut away the lower portion and not use one screw) for my Samsung power cord to fit in the recessed plug. Other than the modification and a slight filing of extra drywall for a tab to fit in the wall, everything went well."

Works Great

Pros: ease of installation, "how to" dvd
"This thing works as advertised. Takes about 30 minutes and is DEFINITELY a cost-effective solution to the "visible cables" problem. I would cut the hole slightly smaller than the template to insure a tighter fit. Overall, very pleased with the product and would not hesitate to use again or recommend."

"Great product. Very easy installation. If you have a low profile TV bracket be careful the bracket on the back of the TV will not interfere with the cables coming out of the wall"

ok, but not ideal

Pros: funtional
Cons: oversized
"the template cut-out is too large, making for a loose sloppy fit. Instructions are lousy, so you must rely on common sense instead. This product is unnecessarily too big, requiring you to cut a huge hole in your living room wall that could (and should) be half the size."

Excellent product, Easy to install

Pros: easy installation, clean and neat appearance, reasonable price
Cons: instructions difficult to follow
"I mounted a flat panel about three weeks ago and used this product to hide the power and HDMI cables. I had help, but mostly because mounting a large TV requires two people. You don't really need help (though it's nice to have) to use this product.
The instructions are a little difficult to follow, but the process of installation is so intuitive that you really don't need instructions. Basically, you cut the holes with the provided template, connect the included electrical conduit to both outlet boxes, put one outlet box and backplate up top, feed your HDMI cable, put other outlet box and backplate on the bottom and then put the faceplates on.
I'm not a handy person, but I was able to install this in about 30 minutes using only a power drill, box cutters and screwdriver.
The installation looks clean and professional."

"This product was very easy to use and install. Our TV works wonderfully and we are very happy with the end product. We wish the cable holes were a little bigger since it's hard to put a wide HDMI cable heads through when you have a few cables in there already. I wish the product had a tube that you could attach between both panels so that your cable wires would go right where they needed to so that you wouldn't have to fish for your cables. But overall we are very happy with the product and plan to use it again when we mount other TVs."
