VIZIO Wireless 1080p HDMI Universal Wireless HD Video & Audio Kit XWH200
Now you can really enjoy the view. The VIZIO Universal Wireless HD Video and Audio Kit eliminates cable clutter with this in-room wireless HD solution. You can mount your HDTV in one area of the room and house your 3D and 1080p HD Blu-ray™ Player, gaming console, audio equipment and more up to 30 feet away.
It transmits on a 60GHz interference-free frequency so other Wi-Fi devices won’t disrupt the quality of the signal. And installation couldn’t be easier. No additional software or equipment is necessary, simply plug your HDTV into the receiver via an HDMI cable and up to 4 devices into the 4 HDMI ports in the transmitter. The system will transmit all 3D and high-definition audio and video content directly to your TV.
It’s also HDCP approved so watching licensed content from cable, satellite or Blu-ray™ won’t be a problem either. The kit includes two 3-ft. HDMI® Cables to connect your TV to the receiver and an AV device to the transmitter. It’s an ideal solution for wall-mounted HDTVs. "Great solution at a great price. However, first one of these stopped working after about a week - on the 2nd one now and have had it a couple of weeks with no problems. Seems to be working fine. Given the awesome return policy at Costco I was willing to give it another try. Fingers crossed."

Works with direct line of sight
"I tried this to connect my dish receiver with a projector in next room. The unit does not work. It works only in the same room with direct line of sight. I returned this and got the Netgear unit. That works well ...no issues."

WIRELESS HERE WE COME!
Pros: easy to set up, easy to use

"We bought this to solve the dilemma of using 50' cable wire to go around our family room to where we wanted our Mitsubishi 60" DLP 3D ready HDTV. We live in a quad-level home and the family room is 1/2 underground on a slab. The TV is situated on the wall adjacent to the stairwell and doorway.
The option to fish a cable line under the stairwell, through a narrow 6" wall divider and over a doorway and through the wall without destroying my faux-finished walls was out of the question. (My husband said, "NO!", to running the cable over the carpet and hiding it with a floor mat. Ha-ha!)
The VIZIO XWH-200 solved our problem. We now have the TV exactly where we want it. The only drawback is we still have to aim the remote at our cable box that's connected to the transmitter over in the corner where our TV used to be. HOWEVER, being able to rearrange the family room and move the TV is the biggest advantage to having this system.
I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family. It's a great solution AND it accommodates 3D HDTV's!!!!"

Best Invention Ever
"This truly saves me a lot of time and gives me a real good convenience. The TV is hung up on a wall with an outlet behind it, while this little box is freely sitting on top of my TV. My HD component are very low on the ground, i don't get any bad feeds, fuzziness. The video and audio quality is 100%. This is a real great product."

Solved a problem for me
Pros: brillant picture no color problems, works with harmony remotes
Cons: i wish its range was greater
"I would have had to run a 30 foot HDMI cable or cat 5 with baluns to my projector from my DVR and Blu Ray Player. I have a Dish 612 DVR and the Sony BDP-BX57 and have had no problems with it at all. I have a Sony VW10 projector and the HD is brilliant. No color problems and no dropouts. And the bonus was that my Logitech Harmony 1000 could remote control the HDMI switching too."

Won't work with Dish Network VIP 722K Receiver
Pros: like the 4 port switching option, looks good fairly small in size
Cons: will not transmit audio from dish network vip 722k
"This is a good product but will not transmit the audio signal from my Dish Network VIP 722k receiver. I tested it with my computer HDMI and it worked great, so I know that the unit was not defective. It works best when there are no solid obstructions between the transmitter and receiver, but it did work fine when I tested it with my computer HDMI through wallboard with a distance of about 20 feet. I'm taking it back because my main use was to connect my TV to the Dish Network receiver."

"this product does not work, if you have a 3d setup you will not get the full experience, it will cut in and out every 2 minutes, even id the transmitter and receiver are close to each other it will not work."

Doesn't work with Verizon Fios cable box.
"this product doesn't work with Verizon Fios cable box. Video is good, but no audio. This is the same problem several others had with other devices, such as DirectTV.
I'll call Vizio and try to fix it tomorrow. If not, I will really on Costco's great return policy."

Does not work with Directv receivers!

"I hoped this would be a solution for my current setup. It started out great with my Sony Blu ray and XBOX 360, but when it came to my Directv receiver there was no audio. I tried three different Directv HD receivers H21-200, H24-100, H25-500 and they all have the same problem of no audio through this Vizio wireless device. We watch Directv more than any other device. Support will tell you it should work. They'll even have you try to turn things off then on again. Unplug the HDMI cables and plug them back in, but nothing worked. No one wants to say there product doesn't work.
If you're just using a DVD, Bluray, XBOX 360 you should be OK. Just don't expect the Directv HD receivers to work with this at least the models I listed above. There website also indicates that Dishnet receivers may also have a problem, but I can't confirm this.
An alternative solution may be to put a Stereo Receiver with HDMI inputs to play the sound for all devices and just send video to your TV via this Vizio Wireless device. Expensive I know for this diversion. I will continue to look for another HD wireless solution like this that works with everything."

WARNING!!! Does not work with DirecTV
"The unit works great until you hook up a DirecTV sat. box. No audio and don't bother calling the Vizio tech support. There is an audio transmission compatibility issue between the Vizio and DiercTV. 2 weeks and they still haven't come up with an answer or bothered to respond to my trouble ticket. In speaking with them today the head engineer told the rep I was speaking to (he wouldn't bother to take the call directly) that his dept. hadn't officially responded to the issue and any information he had was internal to Vizio. And depending on who you talk with there you'll get a different answer. Some reps will tell you they know of the problem and some will tell you there is no problem with the box and it's DirecTV's fault."

Only if you must
Pros: works well when on one channel/input
Cons: very difficult to change channel or input
"The product works really well..... as long as you don't change the TV channel or switch from Cable to DVD often.
I have the transmitter & receiver units 8 feet apart with zero obstructions and the system works perfectly.... as long as you stay on one input or channel. Even changing TV channel can result in a 10 second pause as the system "finds itself". Switching to DVD or another input source usually requires a re-boot.
I purchased a 40 ft HDMI cable for about the same price as this product. I'm installing the HDMI tomorrow - and the Vizio goes back the next day.
Read other online reviews before you buy. If you have absolutely no other option, then this still may be your only solution."

Very Tempermental

"I will be returning this product. I will exchange it first in the hope that this one is simply flawed. For some reason, when I turn on my cable box, the transmitter, and my tv, nothing happens. I have to 1) turn on the DVD player, 2) switch to the dvd input, 3) wait for the dvd screen to pop up (it always does immediately), 4) Switch BACK to the tv input, 5) turn the dvd player off. Quite a hassel. I have tried switching the tv/dvd inputs. still had to do the same thing."

"Works very well on my tv. Computer is sitting about 15' away. I have an hdmi out to the sending unit to stream Netflix and other videos. I did notice a mild delay when switching output modes (resolutions). Also, it does throw off a decent amount of heat.. so be sure it can breath.
Definitely a recommendation, especially if you have a weird or hard to wire spot for your tv."

Saved my walls

"I'm just in the process of switching everything over to HD. My dilemma was that my house was made with a custom built in/entertainment center on a small wall. This unit was great when TVs were still square. But there was no way for me to put a 55in TV in that space.
I had to figure out a way to keep my existing cable wiring in place while placing my TV on a different wall without destroying walls. This did the trick!!
I had it hooked up in less than 15minutes with reading the short directions. It works great. Now I can utilize the built in as an entertainment shelf and still have a larger TV w/out tearing up the walls. Win-Win!!"

Will not work with XBOX 360
Pros: for those devices which are supported it delivers
Cons: doesn't work with xbox 360, battery was dead in remote they sent, sometimes loses signal and need to be reset., only give 2 hdmi cables for 4 ports
"I bought this for the same reason as everyone else. Cable boxes, DVD and 2 gaming systems that were connected to one wall-mounted TV. Set up was easy, and I had no problem the the signal overall, but for some reason, my XBOX 360 would not work. Changed ports. Changed cables. XBOX support said that if it worked with a direct HDMI connection to the TV (it did), then the problem was with VIZIO. After way too much time on calls to VIZIO and Microsoft support, it turns out that if the XBox 360 doesn't see an actual TV on the other end of the cable (not just a re-transmitting sevice) then it will not work. It's a security feature, apparently. Now, I have to have a wired connection. Also, my Wii doesn't have HDMI, so that wasn't an option either."

Great product at a good price
Pros: cost, size, multiple inputs
Cons: occasional signal drop caused by large objects

"Goal: To push HDMI output signal from a TiVo premiere box located in the living room, 25' to a wall mounted TV located in a 3 season porch. Cable source is Verizon FIOS using an M card installed in TiVo box.
Results: After positioning the Transmitter (Tx) and Rx in different locations, I was able to achieve a stable and high quality A/V signal.
Tips: Position the Tx and Rx the same way. Both horizontal or both vertical. I also purchased a longer HDMI cable to position the Tx closer to the Rx to avoid signal drops. I am able to pass the signal thru an exterior wall by attaching the Rx with velcro to the exterior wall where the tv is mounted in my 3 season porch. Total distance is under 25'."

Could be Stronger
Pros: great picture
Cons: poor signal
"Purchased this item for use in a bedroom. About 15' and through a wall. After setting the unit up (easy) it took a while for the transmitter and the receiver signal to sync. When it works it works just fine unless.....if you turn off your TV then back on, it takes up to a couple of minutes for the units to sync again. Over all, I guess as the product info says....best if used in the same room. So...there you go! Overall, like I said when it works it works great! Good picture quality and sound all through the HDMI cables!"
