Not so good

"The printer function is nice.
But -- the sheet feeder for the scanner would pull up 5 pages at a time. It simply would not pick up one page at a time. Tech support suggested cleaning the pick up rollers which made no difference.
Had to return the unit"

Fast Clean printing
Pros: price, multi functions
Cons: problem in network from mac

"Prints fast and clean. Duplex and paper feeder are very convenient, especially scanning multiple pages to computer is effortless.
I called Canon because of network from other computer doesn't work. They told me it is Mac problem. I don't see the solution, yet. Other than this problem it is a very good multifunction printer.
Adjusting contrast on scanner is not as flexible as my other scanner. It makes twice as big file to scan clear enough text documents."

Canon makes a good printer

"The print is clear and fast. The scanner is difficult to use. There are apparently applications that do not apply, and I can’t figure out how to use the OCR portion of it. If you just want a plan TIFF. file, it works well, but if you need a special scan that you can work with, it is complicated."

Great Copier/Printer

"For a low price, I found this machine to be very efficient, fast and well-built. I already have a few thousand print jobs. No jams and scanner works great. Perfect for lower volume home office etc. Also, very easy set-up. Finally, it is super quiet - both the document feeder and print tray work without any fussiness."

Quite nice

"I ordered this item in the afternoon and it was delivered the next day..... Fast!
I have used this item for about two weeks. It appears to be a nice machine. First page printed fast. However if you print on both sides, it will take a while, becasue it prints on one side then sucks the page back in machine to print on other side.
To use scanner, there is a slight learning curve, you can not just go do this on the scanning .... you have to take a few minutes to figure it out.
The overall noise of the printer is slightly louder than old laser printer, but not really an issue. It fits in same area as old printer, even with the scanner. I have not found any incompatibilities that I have experienced with non HP computers. All prints and works well. The printing quality is great for everyday use but if your looking for super dark, ultra fine professional quality printing, look elsewhere. Double sided printing is something that must be changed in printer software to "full on" or "full off". It is not a smart printer that auto adjusts. So even if you are printing one page, it will suck the page back into the printer to look for a second printing. This adds to the total printing."
