not so much for a mac?
Cons: no keypad to enter in static ip address, might not be the best wireless option for macs

"Bought this to replace a 6 year old wired Brother printer. Wanted wireless so I could get rid of at least one USB cable.
Spent 3 days trying to get it to print.
Printer could see network, iMac could see printer.
Wireless printing just gave a busy message.
A call in to Brother tech support did not help.
Took it back."

Great little printer for the price
Pros: clear printing, small size, quick printing, duplexes
Cons: no color

"This laser printer has a small footprint and is not very expensive, but it is performing as well as more expensive printers. The printing is clear and quick. It does a good job as a black and white printer...just wish it also did color! I like it so well that I am considering buying one for home to do any printing except color."

Good Printer
"I use this printer for printing, scanning and copies. I'm very happy with the quality and set up was very easy. Worth the price. Scanning was easy as well - but you can only scan one page at a time. The feeder has been working with no issues. I have not tried two sided printing yet, but it looks easy enough."

"I was looking for a printer with automatic duplex and has scanning capabilities. I chose this because of the reviews and Costco's great return policy.
I have only owned this printer for a few weeks and have only printed about 100 pages so I cannot attest to its drum/toner longevity. However, I am pleased with the printer so far. I have also scanned a few documents, both in color and in black and white and have had no issues at all.
The setup in Windows was easy. Although if I was to do it again, I'd be a little more selective on what drivers/additional software I would install as opposed to do a "full install" which comes with a bunch of stuff I do not need. Installing drivers on Linux machines was a little more challenging but that was probably just my own incompetency. To Brother's credit, all the instructions are there on its website.
Wireless capability was not something I considered at the time of purchase but I am glad this printer has it.
All in all, I would recommend this printer to my friends and family who is looking for a black and white laser printer."

Great Printer!
Pros: wifi, duplex printing, fast
Cons: no airprint, manual on cd

"Count me among those who've written positive reviews for this printer. Beyond the usual, it does two-sided printing (cool) and printing via wi-fi. My wife was especially pleased with this feature. Still need to master making copies with it, but that's my fault for not taking the time to read the manual (on CD, but more manufacturers are going to this). The only additional feature I could ask for would be AirPrint, but guess you can't have it all. Recommended."

Value for the money

"I would say one of the best you can get for this price. I have used print and scan so far. I set this up on OSX Lion. The included CD is useless. Just go to the brother website and just download the printer and scanner driver, you are good to go."

"Printer works exactly like I expected it to. I've used all the capabilities: print, copy, scan, and they work really well. It's compact, quiet and works great with our multiple Mac's wirelessly. It's exactly what we want/need and has no unnecessary features that we never use. Price was lower because it's not a fax and there's much fewer buttons and controls to contend with."

Great Printer, Difficult Wireless setup
"Great Printer, Fast, good quality, easy controls. However the wireless setup took two hours to correctly setup. Works well from computer 50ft away in a closet."
