Too Heavy

Pros: heats quickly therapeutic
Cons: too heavy
"The therma therapy works very well and it heats up quickly in the microwave. The cover is nice and soft. However I found the weight of the wrap to be much too heavy."

NOT SO HOT

"I was dissappointed in this product. It does not get that hot when using manufacturers recommended time. It's very heavy and not that flexible to use as advertized. I have not used it cold so I'm not sure how it fairs."

The Good and the not so good

Pros: good heat treatment
Cons: limited cold treatment
Model Number: Bed Buddy® Back Wrap
"Works great for heat treatment but, I bought it primarly to use as a cold wrap for my knee. Even after freezing it for 3 days, it was only slightly cold and only lasted for about 5 minutes.
Would recommend it only for the heat treatment.

Economical and works well except for one thing

Pros: economical, retains heat well
Cons: elastic waist strap
"This heat wrap works very well, except in one aspect---the stretchy strap. It has to be pulled through a plastic loop on the opposite side and then stretched back (doubled-over) to the orig. side in order to secure the Velcro end to secure around your waist. Not hard to do, but does takes time and is inconvenient or bit annoying when you have to take off to re-heat it. Seems like it could be just a single strap from one end to the other. Something like Neoprene would have been a better choice for the front strap function, because it wouldn’t wear out and would still be stretchy and also much more durable. Plus, I find the strap is not all that long, and I am a woman’s small/med size. So if you have a large middle, it might not reach and might be tight/uncomfortable, and the elastic will get stretched out and worn out. Also, IF the strap was NOT designed to be doubled across the front, I could put it lower on my lumbar spine BELOW my waist, which is where I really need heat. I do it anyway, knowing I’m stretching out the elastic and may have to replace it. BUT, that’s the ONLY thing I don’t like about it! It retains heat very well. Not real hot, but warm enough! It will stay warm a long, long time, slowing cooling off. Of course it all depends on how long you microwave it. One and half minutes does it for me for awhile, but I am always re-heating it because I like it toasty. SAVES you a TON of money over buying the icy hot pads or thermacare, which are ~$1 or more each. This can be used over and over again, making it very economical pain relief without the side effects of any drugs or the high cost of the single-use patches. Although I would NOT wear this outside the house. Still use the single-use pads for that! But for home use, and If you don’t have a large waist, I highly recommend this heat wrap!!"
