Could Have Been 5 Stars

Pros: solid, roomy
Cons: vents front and back are basically decorative
"As others have said, this 8x15 storage seems to be a quality product. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is for the abysmal instructions - pictures, diagrams, very few words. Much is left to the assemblers imagination. I am a visual person, but these instructions left us guessing several times. That being said, we did get it together. I had built a solid, level base for the shed and still the doors did not align, although they weren't off by much. I still recommend this shed provided one knows going in that there will be issues and it does take perseverance."

Not the best, but pretty good.

Pros: metal roof trusses, tall doors and walls, includes floor, easy assembly (read & follow directions carefully)
Cons: how the walls attach to floor
Model Number: Lifetime Brighton 8'x15' storage shed #582589
"This is not the best built shed. Since it comes with a floor, and then the whole shed is built on the floor, so if your floor is not perfectly level and on a very hard surface then it will not go together all that well. Plus the walls do not screw in and/or snap in to the floor all the well, so it's not all that secure. However, if you have a cement base to build it on, or some sort of foundation, then you are set! It's heavy duty plastic and the roof is reinforced with metal trusses! So the roof system is really well built. The 2 windows are nice and it is completely customizable as to where you want the windows."

Great Shed !!!

Pros: easy set up fast delivery 5 days from ut., long lasting shed
Cons: better skylights
"I set this shed up by myself, it took around 14 hours tops. YOU MUST DOWNLOAD DIRECTIONS FROM COSTCO WEBSITE !!! The instructions that come with the shed are just pictures with no words because they would have to print them in about 5 different languages !! The only problem I found was with the bar that runs along side the front gable by the doors. The hole for the upper slide door lock was not put in the proper position so I could not slide the lock shut. I had to drill a hole of my own about 3 inches to the right. I DID NOT put the screws in the floor to hold the floor together I thought is was over kill and was not need once you have the walls up and stuff in the shed the floor was not going to go anywhere !!"

Good Shed, Not Easy to Assemble

Pros: great shed, lots of room for storage, solid construction
Cons: confusing instructions, doors may not be even when construction complete, floor flimsy. use solid foundation underneath
Model Number: 6422
"Had this up and in use in less than 10 hours w/ 2 people + 3rd person helping for first 5 hours. Doors are uneven plus using shims won't work (too much pressure on floor in instruction-designated corners which could cause the floor to crack/break), but this will be a work in progress. If you have a question on a Saturday after 1pm MT about parts/confusion of assembly, don't call the help desk, nobody answers.
Recommendation: Set out pieces/parts in assembly line fashion first to last for easier/less time in assembling. Place small parts in dishes/bowls for easier retrieval. Also, FYI, make a copy of the parts page. Instructions sometimes uses letters, sometimes numbers (both are listed on previously mentioned page), so this can be confusing!
Great shed, tons of room. My husband wanted to move everything in ASAP!!

Awesome Product!

Pros: easy to assemble
Model Number: 60075
"We're very happy with this purchase. Everything from the price, to delivery, to ease of assembly - this shed is a terrific buy. The parts bags are numbered and each step of instructions tells you which bag you need to use. All of the pieces lined up perfectly and the instructions were easy to follow. It comes with a few shelves, which is a nice bonus. It's also attractive and durable. I would definitely recommend this one."

Happy/"no tears shed"

Pros: well made easy care, so much better than previous metal shed
Cons: poor instructions
Model Number: 6402 - Brighton 8'x15'
"Very pleased with this shed though the directions are poorly presented. Could do with some rearranging of the instructions but with two guys and myself we got it done in under 5 hours, not counting building the base frame first. Used our own screws for attaching flooring to base since the ones provided were puny.
I cannot imagine doing this with only one person. Easily takes two. No heavy parts but would avoid putting up in the wind! Would recommend padding the floor under heavy items. Even the step stools used made dents in floor, though they diminished by next day. I went back and siliconed around base and windows since we get a lot of rain here. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. The height is great too! No more bonking head on entry way as with old metal shed. Could use more shelving, but can be purchased thru Lifetime website. We did have a good number of screws left over yet we went back and rechecked and used what was required.

I love It!

Pros: big and well made, attractive
Cons: inadequate instructions
Model Number: Lifetime" Brighton 8' x 15' Storage Shed
"I was amazed - this came within days, I was expecting weeks.
The instructions could have been much better - or even existed. They show how to deconstruct, but not how to put it up.
Still, 2 people assembled it in 1.5days.
And, it's great. It has skylights windows, seems very well made is tall and sturdy.
I want to move in!

Excellent shed!!!

Pros: great price for a quality product.
Model Number: Brighton 8x15
"This is a great shed. It was fairly easy to put together. (Took two evenings.) Download the instructions from the Costco web site as the instructions that came in the box were a little vague. Leave yourself some room to work around the walls. I placed this shed up against an existing wall and it was a tight squeeze snapping in the walls using the technique they recommend. FYI, I live in Utah and I ordered the shed on the evening of the 24th and it was delivered on the 27th. Very speedy!!!"

Worthwhile

"Shed was delivered very quickly. 3 big boxes, two of them weighing over 300 lbs. They recommend three types of foundation, I went with the 3rd one, the pea gravel. Next time I would use one of the others. The shed is well engineered, went together without problems. Take the time to make sure your foundation is level and strong."

Great shed

Model Number: Lifetime® Brighton 8' x 15' Storage Shed
"Well engineered. Follow the instructions in order and exactly -- especially the direction of bolts/nuts in assembly. Also make sure that the base is level. Ironic that the instruction come in three languages since assembly is by picture."

lack of instructions

Model Number: 582589
"I am very sattisfied with the product. it is well enginered and the quality seems very good. there were no written instructions and the pictorial instructions left a lot to the imagination. if i had not had previous experience with similar sheds,i may not have been able to complete the project.
it took me about three days to complete the project. i did it by myself but it would have been easier if i had had a helper.
I heard somewhere that two battery operated lights were supposed to come with the package but they were not included.
now that the project is complere ,i am very proud of my accomplishment and the nice shed.

Completely satisfied!

Pros: great design, good price, quality materials, no missing parts
Cons: limited shelf space
Model Number: Lifetime® Brighton 8' x 15' Storage Shed
"Construction of this shed is very straightforward. Follow the instructions and you will have no problems. While building the shed is easy it is time-consuming. Even though the manual that comes with the shed has no words it is pretty easy to follow and you can download a manual from the Costco website that does have words. That is on the product page under product details. Pay attention to the step that says make sure your surface is level. Mine was close to level and thought that would be good enough. In the long run it was good enough but not having things line up exactly right made the job a little more difficult. This job can probably be done by one person as long as you start with a level surface. I needed my wife's help for about two hours to install the roof panels. Did the rest of the job myself in about 14 hours. A magnetic tip screwdriver is helpful especially when installing the skylights. Two of the three boxes that the kit comes in are very heavy. Probably over three hundred pounds each. If you can have those dropped near your build site it will make your job much easier. Mine were about 150 feet away from were is was building and though that might not seem like much, there are so many parts to be assembled the constant walking back and forth added about 10% to my construction time. In the end I am very satisfied with the shed. It is well designed and well made. Check back with me in about 15 years and I will let you know about the durability."

Excellent, big space but frustrating

Pros: big space great looking durable shed
Cons: tricky assembly and skylights are flimsy
"Shed has plenty of room. We were two took four weekends to assemble (worked only on Saturday and Sunday). The assembly instructions are poor. Assembly is tricky and it requires construction skills. We used instruction from youtube to assemble it. It was not easy for us and this may be because of our inexperience. The Skylights are very flimsy and we broke one during the assembly."

Shed

Pros: end results worth it.
Cons: poor instructions. need to do better numbering.
"Shed showed up even before the delivery date. Three LARGE boxes. Once you get everything laid out, it starts to make sense, but, then not a lot of sense. Ah, the instructions! Make sure your reading glasses are near. But, only for the small pictures--not for any reading. There isn't anything to read! all pictures, that don't always make sense. MAKE SURE your pad is flat and firm before beginning to build. Had a friend over to help, we spent about 5 hours together on it one day and I finished the project the following day by myself in 2 hours. Take your time and study the pictures---then look at them again. This step will end up saving you hours! Over all, GREAT bang for the buck. I would do it again. The quality is really better than I had hoped for."

Good product but took us over 20hrs.

Pros: great design!
Cons: plan on 20 hours with support
Model Number: 6422
"Pro: Excellent design and product. All joints are well designed, no metal screws are exposed to the elements. Completely water-proof.
Facts: My son - 38 year old MD and I, 65 year old engineer - we took close to 20 hours to complete assembly. It also took some muscle strength to push down the wall pieces into the floor and have them properly latched in. We finished at 2AM before the rain came.
Possible Improvements: Screws should be taped to the associated HW by groups. It takes to long to find the correct screws called out in the instructions. Lots of extra screws left over.

Good Purchase

Pros: good purchase
Model Number: Lifetime Brighton 8' X15'
"I think this is a very good product. I built a wood platform in my backyard, 8' X16'. It took me about 15 hours plus my wife helped for an hour, to put this together. The instructions were clear, I needed a screwdriver and a ladder. When putting the roof support metal parts together, the screw head is inside the channel and the bolt is on the outside. When the roof panels wouldn't fit down into the channels, then I looked at the directions.

Exceeded my HIGH expectations

"*If you don't care about my full experience please skip to the PROS and CONS at the bottom of the page*
Just finished building my LIfetime 8x15 shed. I will first say I spent about 3-4 weeks shopping for a shed. In the end LIfetime seemed the way to go. The standard Lifetime Brighton shed is 8x12.5ft. This package comes with the 2.5ft extension. I was skeptical at first thinking it was just "mislabeled". You can find the 8x12.5 sheds for 1299 if you look hard enough. The 2.5ft extensions are around $300 after the fact. The extra 2.5ft is well worth the additional $100 on this deal from Costco (FREE SHIPPING!).
The shed arrived on a pallet in three separate boxes. Luckily the truck had a lift gate. The boxes were smaller than I expected but two people would struggle moving them. Unboxing the product I was happy to see there weren't "THAT" many pieces.
I read many reviews on this shed and people complained of lack of directions and complications, etc. (they were all still happy once it was built) I also read that you NEEDED to have at least two people for this project (three is recommended in some parts). I didn't find any of that to be true. The manuals are very complete. I ended up building the whole thing on my own. It can be done. It is estimated 6-8 hours with two people. I was very surprised to see it took me approximately 6 hours to get the bulk done. Did i mention I fought a 20-30mph wind all day? I had to find lumber to brace the shed walls that were freestanding during the build.
30 minutes - Unboxing
6 hours - floor/walls/roof
30 minutes - deciding shelf location/moving them
30 minutes - cleaning up
This includes the screw ups I had to fix and the time it took to find bracing for the wind. I had to remove corner wall pieces after realizing the have designated corners (don't miss this... the panels are labeled!). This is my first shed build and I could not be happier with how it went. I am exhausted... but it was worth the time and effort. Now lets just see how it holds up the the North Dakota winters!
BUY THIS SHED!
PROS:
Easy Assembly. Great Quality Control (all parts accounted for). Sliding Windows. Skylights. Shelves included. Steel framing inside. Awesome latching door handle!
CONS:
Shelves have to be mounted in back of shed without purchasing additional brackets/mounting hardware.
