Great little unit
Pros: screen doesnt time out, easy to read display
"I bought this for a backup but I actually like it better than my issued pulse-ox. It is fast and accurate and tough enough to be used in a clinical setting. The display doesn't time out so you can do real-time assessment of treatments"

Neat little gizmo

"It seems to be very accurate and very simple to use. Good to have the AAA batteries. It has taught me to deep breathe more, and it bumps the oximeter from 95-96 up to 98-99 within a short time."

Works really well
Pros: very compact
Cons: takes a while to start displaying.
"I purchased this item for my mother who had an extended stay in the hospital with pneumonia. She came home with oxygen but was not sure when she needed it and when she could turn it off. This device has given her the ability to find out when she needs to go back on the oxygen."

Does not do what it says it does, bad display

"The description states that it will display the Perfusion index and I have yet to see it. I can't find anywhere were to set it up or find it.
The display does not allow for the pulse rate to be higher than 99. So if you are tachycardic you are out of luck. You will always have 99 BPM which is significantly different than having, lets say 120 BPM."

Worked GREAT for two weeks.
Pros: quick great display 3 seperate readings.
Cons: quit working after about 2 weeks
"I gave it one star because it quit working after two weeks. When it worked it really worked well. It was quick to give a reading. The display was clear and easy to see. It gave you Heart Rate , Blood Flow and Oxygen Saturation Levels. I really liked it and am thinking about re-ordering. I'm just a little hesitant because of the first experience and several of the existing reviews. I may have just gotten a bad one."

Can be a lifesaver

"I love the one I purchased for myself. I also bought one for my daughter who has a heart problem that sometimes necessitates her checking her pulse continuously. She'd been using a blood pressure cuff but with that you have to wait while it inflates, takes a reading, deflates and then gives you your blood pressure and pulse. This gives you your pulse immediately and constantly updates as long as you keep it on your finger. Ideal!"

"I purchased the Pulse Oximeter mainly for the pulse measurement. I have a New Balance watch that can measure pulse, but it is hit or miss because of my irregular heart beat (I think). No problems with the PC-6085. I'm particularly intrigued by the waveform display as it graphically shows my irregularities. The PI measurement is also a good feature. So far, a very good buy."
