Good looks but assembly complicated
Pros: good desk work area and good price for 3 pieces, return can be installed left or right
Cons: heavy complicated and involved assembly
"I was called within a week of ordering to schedule delivery by the shipping company. They were rather inflexible about delivery times and would only give me a time M-F, between 1:00 and 5:00 and within 48 hours of them receiving it. The delivery guy called me 30 minutes prior to his arrival, was very professional and wearing a Teamsters t-shirt ... he would only take it off the truck downstairs and drop it in front of my apartment. The largest box was damaged but this was noted on the bill and I later discovered a gouge that I was able to easily cover with a marking pen. The 3 boxes total about 300 lbs so it would be very difficult to to get this up stairs or without some sort of hand truck. Luckily I had a hand truck, lift weights and live in an elevator building. I have assembled nearly everything in my house and this was quite the project. The bookshelf is relatively easy to assemble -- I had it done in about 45 minutes. It's when you get to the desk that things go awry. There are many boards, complex hardware instructions and the possibility of installing something backwards if you are not very careful about paying close attention to the multilayered instructions and placement of drilled holes in the pictures. It took me 6+ hours to get the desk done on my own (about 30 minutes of this taking a section apart because the desk can be left or right sided). A power drill is not needed or wouldn't be all that helpful except for with a couple of hardware pieces. I more than likely would have opted for something a little less time-intensive in hindsight."
